doesn't matter if you're in a VW or a Ford Expedition...whether or not a person survives/gets hurt in a crash depends on speed, whether they're wearing a seatbelt, what they hit, etc. a crash in a Jetta can turn out either way, just like any other box of metal with wheels and an engine.

actually the survivability of a crash has a lot to do with the engineering of the vehicle its self...You would be safer in a jetta than in most other cars in its class...I would rather be in this car then in some Mitsu-Shitsu lancer..now there is an example of poor engineering
