@KingOfAwesomer If you are going to teach guitar, you need to teach guitar. A good teacher will spend 75% of a lesson on the guitar. A bad teacher will spend 75% of a lesson talking. Which would you prefer?

Yeah, this is for the total beginner. After a while you take for granted what you already know. Ive been playing since 1978. I dont remember how "not" to play guitar. I do see the struggles from newer students I have taught throughout the years though. Mechanics come pretty quick as long as you practice a bit every day, which is the way I would teach. 3 to 5 note riffs per week, working them up and down the neck.

If you aren't a total beginner, just skip to 1:22-1:28 for the actual "lesson." I like all the other stuff he has to say, but a lot of it is redundant or I already know, but it's really good information for a true beginner.

I have been playing for some time and yet found a musician who teaches the connecting of riffs in a scale pattern.

I'm sure they have all tried but you nailed it.

Maybe it's my timing, found you at the right tims.

I've learned from Desi Serna, Siggi, & Justin Sandacore.
