This is awesome. The only thing I don't get is why are you flipping the image all the time. For me it would be kinda confusing. The best parts were the drafts before the actual paint, it's a bit hard to learn how to make those.

A lot of artists flip the picture to see any mistakes they might have missed from a different perspective. It helps a lot in drawing! I do it all the time~

Actually, the horizonal flip is a way to check mistakes. A very commonly used technique among artists.

As it is, when an artist is drawing an image, he/she gets used to it. When flipped, he/she will see the image in a whole new light, making it easier to notice the mistakes.

Stunning use of colors just a quarter way through your video.

no i used the standard hard brushes. as you can see i used some noisy brush at one point, but it was included in photoshop cs2
