I agree with you, I used to enjoy the avgn but once he started to rely more and more on the poorly written skits I tuned out. I also agree that its pretty lame to rely on kickstarted donations to fund a project when the guy clearly has enough money to fund it himself. If he was that confident in his work he would take the risk of investment upon himself rather than rely on fans.

I agree with you, I used to enjoy the avgn but once he started to rely more and more on the poorly written skits I tuned out. I also agree that its pretty lame to rely on kickstarted donations to fund a project when the guy clearly has enough money to fund it himself. If he was that confident in his work he would take the risk of investment upon himself rather than rely on fans.

As this video alluded to he could easily invest in this movie if he was confident of its quality. He's questioning James' motives, which are dubious considering the considering ad revenue he makes (indie movies have been made with much less than AVGN's salary from YT). He's been making films his whole life and he has never done a full-length one before, so I'm sure he's making it all out just because it's his first film and he wants to make it as great as possible.
