Obama's success welcomed overseas

A group of Americans, retired teachers, recently went to France on a tour. Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on. 'You have been to France before, monsieur?' the customs officer asked sarcastically. Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously. 'Then you should know enough to have your passport ready.'

I believe it is not that people are excited about the possibility of a black man becoming president of the US so much as the possibility of a man with integrity becoming president, though I'll admit it's nice to see a person of colour having a decent shot.

BTW, if you google canadians for obama you'll see that there's an actual website; if you google canadians for mccain you'll be directed to poll results indicating that Canadians prefer Obama to McCain.

@jacobX99 I live in germany and most people i know rooted for Obama. They heard of this "change", too, and were looking forward to finally see a black man in office. But, none of these fools understand politics. Too bad people still don't realize politics and organized crime go hand-in-hand.
