True. Thanks. It's good exercise for 5 fret stretch though like Dave Matthews does a lot. Thanks for the input and thanks for checking out the vid! David
Thanks JIJ. Yeah it takes a little practice for the timing on lifting off. The easy thing to remember is it's an arpeggio pick always down, down, down, down. I can sing it I just don't want to ruin a great song:)
you play it beautifully dave, Im trying to learn this song but it's a hard one :( did it take you alot of practice to play it so well ? finally, gotta sing to dave :)
Excellent picking, Dave! I also like the way you've included the annotations that explain exactly what strings/notes you're playing. I've owned guitars for years but may as well have stuck with playing my tennis racquet after hearing you. Thanks for the lesson!
Thanks Stew! I picked the guitar after seeing Led Zeppelin live when I was 10 years old. I'm self taught and play by ear but try to get better by hoking up with better players. My 13 yo is learning so got a renewed interest in playing.Just discovered You Tube as a learning tool this past year. David

yeah, just had a listen to the original - try it as bar chords.. I think it's better.. and right.

@JaguarEarlobe post a vid, it won't sound right...this way is right, jimmy page would not play bar chords on an acoustic song

To be honest, i wouldn't say this is "slow". You should change your title for only cover, since I really can't learn much at all.
