Many of us still use the windowsill for storage, and garde mangers. Many do not bother with fridges, or have only very small ones. I like it now, as an American who's become French, but it was a big change to make. Also, no clothes dryers! I am used to it now.

I've just shared this with someone. Great movie, good to see it up here. I live in Paris now and get a huge laugh out of this.  I've been here since '94 and remember some vestiges of "old Paris" here. Also, I know many Japanese females here, so this is fun! They love France and never want to go back to Japan, all of them! The love the space and freedom they have here.
