  • One of the, if not the best AGA games out there. Wish there were more of these.

  • visual style reminds me of Chaos Engine.

  • Banshee's lack of soundtrack is about the only thing that displeases me about the game. Maybe it's having been brought up on SNES and mega drive shmups but a jaunty little tune to go 'pew pew' to is part and parcal!

Still, it plays like a dream and one of the best Amiga games ever!

  • Loved this game, but can't remeber the music - is this the original sound?

That's a remix of the music from Hybris, isn't it?

  • @auritone Sorry, maybe I should have read the description before I wrote a comment, eh?

    Sorry! :)

  • sprites are absolutely beutiful. CORE were Amazing pixel artists! Wish it had sound effects tho :( Poor AMIGA.

  • @psyjax It "did" have sound effects, but cubex55 put a remixed track of Hybris over the top of the game in the video ;)

  • Great music kurwa mać!

  • this game is much better with these musics that ScHlAuChi added in the video. :) I don't understand why some Amiga games lack in-game music, is not a technicall limitation because I remember clearly that I had a Banshee coverdisk demo and it had a nice in-game tune! But the full game release did not had. :\

  • I always wondered what the name of this game was. played it as a kid!

  • 1942 aaaaaaand roll.... hmm all out og rolls

  • lol..at the hybris title remix. not soo bad!! :D

  • Why does this game seem so familar? Hmmm....1942 comes to mind!

  • WOW, that Zool theme cover is just incredible, and it kicked in just when you were starting to fight zeppelin boss, perfect timing ;D great video, even though I never played this game in my Amiga days

  • SVEN SVARDENSVART RULES!

  • Banshee was one of the very few games that made good use of the AGA chipset, among some others were Genetic Species, Super Stardust, T-Zero ..and ummm... ummmmm.. not much else!? There were of course other AGA titles but they didn't really push the newer Amiga's, although there were some ECS titles towards the end the pushed that chipset to the brink!! IE.. Lionheart, Elfmania... etc.. Anyway, i guess the whole point of the video is Banshee, nice vid!! and great remixes in there too :)

  • maybe bitmap brothers and cinemaware games like chaos engine, wings, the three stoges and defender of the crown but...maybe as you said these are good titles but haven't never pushed the newer amiga's chupset...because they are old games...

    greetings from italy...

(omg i was very old when i play that game...the story is lol...)

  • I'm glad u like "We're the devils" from me. ;)

  • ScHlAuChi says:

Yeah ts great, but you should do some more Amiga remixes ;)

  • I'm sorry... I'll try, but i've no more time to spend with madtracker... :(

  • love banshee. played it a lot in my child hood. can i get it somewhere for win xp or ubuntu 8??

  • Just use WinUAE emulator and the game you can find at planetemu net :)

  • yeah i played this almost to destruction when i was younger. was just talking with my bro about old games and this game up. so had to find this.

  • Rl good gameplay, gratz for the player ;]

  • Cheers! Never played Banshee, but played Swiv, greatest gaming times.

  • please pm me with the exact titles of these remixes

  • You didnt do Rule No1: Read the video info ;)

  • Hey, I know ScHlAuChi! Haven't seen him in a while though.

And yes, the graphics scream Bitmap Brothers...whadda surprise? ;)

  • That menu at the left looks like it's from Chaos Engine.

  • Speak to the Bitmap Brothers then. Apidya was released a long time before Chaos Engine.

  • Oy...that's what I get for not reading the video's notes before posting...Most embarassing.

  • Nice music in this game, which I'm noticing more and more from Amiga games.

  • the first music is from Hybris, the second is from Apidya

  • Its not the game music - it doesnt have music ingame - thats why it was replaced with remixes from amigaremix com - which can be downloaded freely there :)

  • Awesome graphics. Loved how the tiny soldiers pop up where you least expect them.

  • Wow man, you are good! :-) I have this game on CD32 but never defeated submarines on level 2. Thanks for the video!

  • is this game about Scientology?

  • stupid ass funny intro

  • Awesome game. For my taste a bit too "european" when it comes to shmups, but a great effort nonetheless.
