THIS is what i was looking for for a while now!

-----To help some people here a note!!----

Not all plugins support this feature, but DO it in the plugin itself!

Like in Nexus (2) go to "TG" (under library etc) and go to "MOD" there you'll find Portamento put that on "LGT" and set the speed to your needs like 1/8. (lower number slower fx).

This must help allot of people, please thumb up so other people find this easyer! Enjoy!

I use nexus for the sounds, and it looks like that it doesn't accept slide notes. When I write them, when it plays, the slide notes are just ignored. I tried to change the portamento, and it works almost how I wanted, but wasn't so continuous, as I wanna slide for about 10 seconds, and it don't let me change the pitch more than a note above. Do you know anything I could do? Please! Thanks!

@Kinosei30 Hey. Nexus have its own slider-system. If you click nexus, go to "mod" to the left and under portamento and then, click the I gt. Change the speed to around 1/1 if you want it to go slow

@00deadzone Some VSTi's won't let you use the built in portamento. In Nexus you make it so that the notes will slide between each other, but you can't really control how long it slides. To do that, go to "Mod" (right below "Library") and select a portamento setting.

@charliebubba External VSTs don't comply with the internal FL sliding, but sometimes you can modify VSTs to slide notes (like Vanguard). Try looking up tutorials on how to slide with VSTs in FL :]

Tip:

Works with FLi instruments only and a very few select VSTis.

Slide is one of the main reason IDM pros are spending on FL to create specialized stems for their main DAW Live/Cubaz etc.

You cant make plugins work with slides.

Ya gotta remember FL Studio is widely considered to be the "beginner's" music production software.

Thus, it has limited options.

It is just that the slide option is a function Image Line made up. It is idiotic that no others (that i know of) has the same function. If u are using an external plugin, u just have to set the portamento time, or set it to mono note, thus sliding when you use chords...

Dont get me wrong, you can produce professional quality music with FL, and there are a lot of things FL offers that "professional" level software doesnt offer.

But, programs like Reason offer more ways to manipulate the sound itself, thus giving you more ways to get the sounds you want, and that, ultimately, gives you more sounds at your disposal.

Thats the biggest difference, and its priceless for professionals.
