My cousin is a highly regarded scientist at UCLA, and she used to work at Woods Hole in Massachusetts. Climate change isn't really her area directly, but she did say (not in the context of this item) that Chinese universities and science exploration is seriously flawed. She also said that new grad students from China are uniformly almost clueless about what they are suppose to be continuing their education in.
