  • Tire: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo...

  • i have watched this many times, and its still incredible...

  • thats why being pilot is most respective job in the world. incredible...

  • As others have said, great piloting, but also, whoever was running the camera did a fantastic job too. Dead steady, and centered on that nose gear.

  • Superb landing skill, good job Captain and the First officer. situation critical is over.

  • the only reason the landing gear did not collapse was because the pilot was so experienced and brought it in at the perfect angle and gently set the nose down the way he did

  • Pilots could have reset BSCU circuit breakers but didn't know that at the time. The first thing they teach you at Airbus Training, about this fly-by-wire aircraft is.....reboot the airplane if you aren't getting the results you want. That's a basic Airbus philosophy that they forgot, but could have re-centered the nose gear. But pilots in an emergency tend not to want to upset the apple cart....and who could blame them? Everything turned out A-OK. Minor damage.

  • @JetMechMA Your wrong, 9/21Jet Blue A320, flight 292 for NYC got off the ground, nose gear turned 90 degrees, a problem they could not clear.Pilot flew for hours to burn off fuel cuz Airbus could not dump fuel. At 1ST, nobody had ever heard of such a thing. Later it came out that Airbus knew A320 nosewheel problem had happened at least 6 times B4 and the cause had not been corrected. Aibus A320 is a piece of shit with 2 wings + has has 17 hull-loss accidents with 795 fatalities as of 7/ 201.

  • @LottoWinner999 You're wrong. I'm quoting the official NTSB report. Look it up and get back to us.

  • @JetMechMA U should think B4 U speak + quit telling people your jet mechanic when your 12 years old with time on your hands-keyboard . Airbus has so many cover ups. I sent U a link with proof that this was a problem with Airbus + U or some other Airbus-Lover can't believe there any wrong with your Beloved-Airbus. If U check stats U will learn A320 has 17 hull breaches + highest death for the time its been flying + that goes for the A330. Plus A380 has a chip + desing flaw for oygen intake.

  • @LottoWinner999 Wow, you're retarded. Do you feel good about yourself when you bash airplane manufacturers?

  • @imafreakinsubscriber A320 family has unusual landing gear that rotates B4 retracting into the fuselage. "The possibility of failure, exactly like in the video." Problems with JetBlue Flight 292 marked at least the seventh time front landing gear of Airbus jet has locked at a 90-degree angle, forcing pilots to land under emergency conditions, according to federal records. Airfags night crashes have been because of the nose gear. I am not bashing Airfags cuz this is the fucking truth.

7 AIRBUS JETS HAD LANDING GEAR TROUBLE

By Jennifer Oldham and Megan Garvey, Times Staff Writers

    w(DOT)w(DOTw(DOT)iasa(DOT)com(DOT)au/folders/Safety_Issues/FAA_Inaction/airbusnosewheels(DOT)html

  • @JetMechMA This is the rerport and I sent you the link, what the proble you cannot admit you made an error?

  • @JetMechMA A320 has defective landing gear that rotates B4 retracting N2 fuselage. Problems with JetBlue marked 7TH time nose gear on A320 jet has locked at a 90-degree angle, forcing pilots to make emergency according to federal records. Airfags night crashes are suspect cuz of nose gear. Never forget an A320 is a piece of shit with 2 wings. Airfags has been warned their jets will be grounded in USA if this happens 1 more time. U Airfaggers think this is a safe plane? A320 has too many crashes!

  • @JetMechMA U R A Jet Mecahnic, defective nose gear by Eurotards who drink on the job + sign off on plane that should not be allowed to fly. U do not reboot hydralic gears + pretend its an electrical problem so people will think its the computer. This is 7TH time + FAA was warned Airfags next time A320'S will be grounded. Also A320 has no emergency fuel dump + plane had to fly until fuel was gone + if they had not spottied this all ppl would be dead. A320 leads aviation industry fatal in crashes.

  • @JetMechMA U R A Not a Jet Mecahnic + its faulty nose gear by Eurotards who drink on the job + sign off on plane that should not be allowed 2 fly. U dont reboot hydralics + pretend its an electrical problem so people think its the computer. This is 7TH time + FAA was warned Airfags next time A320'S will be grounded. Also A320 has no emergency fuel dump + plane had to fly until fuel was gone + if they had not spottied this all ppl would be dead. A320 leads aviation industry fatal in crashes.

  • @LottoWinner999 You said that everyone would have died if they hadn't spotted it. Why? The fact is, even if they hadn't known about the turned nose gear, the outcome would have been the same...and why not? As the world could see, it didn't veer off the runway...it ground to a halt going straight ahead. No injuries whatsoever and minor damage to the aircraft.

  • @JetMechMA They were lucky U did U know Airbus A320 does not have the ability to dump its fuel so the plane flew for hours until fuel was almost gone. I gave U link below were U can read the report about the 7th time this happened " w(DOT)w(DOTw(DOT)iasa(DOT)com(DOT)au/folders/Safety_Issues/FAA_Inaction/airbusnosewheels(DOT)html." FAA warned Airbus 1 more time + A320 would be grounded until they fixed the defect in the nose gear. A320 is a piece of shit with 2 wings + has the most crashes.

  • @LottoWinner999 You said that it's the 7th time that it happened....as if each incident had the same cause....but you haven't supported that claim at all. You also said that I deny that Airbus has faults. But that's a lie because I pointed out the findings of the official report which enumerated many faults with the A320 series, in regard to this incident.

  • @JetMechMA He stupid your not a jet mechanic go to the link below if you can read?

    w(DOT)w(DOTw(DOT)iasa(DOT)com(DOT)au/folders/Safety_Issues/FAA_Inaction/airbusnosewheels(DOT)html

  • @LottoWinner999: You haven't supported your claim. However, it's a moot point because you are a liar. You said that I claimed that Airbus doesn't have any faults, but that's a lie because I pointed out many faults with the Airbus. But I also pointed out how you are wrong in what you say about THIS incident. That's because you haven't read the official investigation report.

  • @JetMechMA What you need to shut your big flappin mouth and visit the link and you can learn how this is dangerous plane that would have its airworthiness certificate removed if was made in the USA. Thats rights Airfags is not coming to America you lost the 40 Billion Dollar USAF Contract. Gee thats a shame and that says keep your shit planes out of America and out of are business. The last thing you are is American but I know immigrant whose illegaly here, go home were U came from traitor!

  • @LottoWinner999: What you need to shut your big flappin mouth.

JM: I see. You admit defeat then.

  • @JetMechMA Do you wipe your mouth after you take a shit?

  • If you read the official report, the cause of this particular nose gear incident was a faulty software in the BSCU...Brake Steering Control Unit (computer). The steering computer routinely did a steering test after gear extention in the air mode. The steering test cycled WAY too many times and wore out the steering lugs which broke and caused the gear to hard-over. Software was changed in the entire A320 fleet. Pilots could have reset BSCU circuit breakers but didn't know that at the time.

  • those pilots better get a bigger Christmas bonus!!

  • Fuckin' centerline pride! Nice job to those guys! Keep flying!

  • what was wrong with the tires in the front actually???

  • SPIKE STRIP DEPLOYED!

  • i saw this. those pilots knew what to do. they kept the font wheel up as long as they could. they did there job.(CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP !!!!!!!!)

  • Hahahaahahahaha.. he exactly stoped on the line xD

    But that was SICK !!!

  • Warum geben Piloten nicht immer so viel Mühe bei der Landung!!! Die war Perfekt!

  • Yeah that was me flying and landing that fucking plane. Fucking greatest right here. I found out landing gear was what we say in the industry all fucked up and I just said to myself think of all the whores you'll never get to fuck if you don't land this shit right. So I fucking landed the thing. Gifts of hookers and coke will be accepted for my heroic fucking landing. Questions about the landing or the size of my cock can be messaged to me. Peace love and coke to all.

  • everybody here's talking like they know all about airplanes and landings, u guys should all be flying ur planes!

  • No crap to the engines? Pretty good. They just have to re-grind the run way.

  • I hope that's my future pilot. :)

  • You're all dumb. The pilot didn't do anything special. The landing gear didn't collapse because it's designed that way. He just did a normal landing.

  • @minimusmax yoru the biggest moron ive seen in awhile

  • @thefsxandREALpilot I'm a pilot and I highly doubt you are.. so I think I'd know when a landing is just like any other landing.

  • @minimusmax You don't know shit. You're a mediocre pilot with no curiosity whatsoever. (no reason to be polite since he already insulted every commenter). The pilot had to keep as much weight as possible off the front wheels. You can see from the video that he rode the back wheels longer than a normal landing. Also, since the engines hang low, he could not use reverse thrust, as this would cause a forward rolling force (or "moment") on the plane that would further load the front wheels.

  • lol, this is not a real landing, this is taken from "Flight Simulator X" (game)

  • @warne12345 you're an idiot

  • @warne12345 This is real man. You didnt watch this when it was on the news. This was the first real test for Jet Blue for the public and they passed.

  • haha howd that happen

otherwise, well done; great landing, nice control, 5/5 stars (but youtube removed the star rating)

  • Someone please give this flight crew a medal. Incredible landing!

  • was that an emergency landing or did it got messed up on the landing

  • @turkishsoldierbaran - i read about this, the gear went up, and when it went up it turned crooked because for some reason when they turned the plane around for landing the gear turned with it, and it came down as it was still turned.

  • @turkishsoldierbaran It was an emergency landing.

  • Wow hats off to the pilot !!!

  • the pilot made a incredible good landing

  • American Airport drift... Good job thou

  • sakto sa guhit ..!

  • lol those gears at the last seconds are like melted plastic XD

  • Give those pilots civilian awards! And some beers too.

  • those pilots are studs

  • ouch!!!

  • i remeber watching it on TV.

  • @roguekille Me too, I was amazed the gear didn't snap, and that the pilots kept that plane moving straight. That plane was built and flown by MACKS!

  • Happens a lot more often than people would think. Well down landing.

  • If he'd land the main gear about 10 seconds before he did the main gear would probably collapse. Hats off for these pilots

  • Thats what good piloting is all about, the ability to improvise on the spot without many options.

    Great pilots.

  • Very good job...

  • That was expensive ;-)

  • Not nearly as expensive as it could have been.

  • not to mention the tarmac as well

  • excellent job by the pilot! I wonder if that specific failure is trained in the sim or if the pilots decided to not use reversers and spoilers by himself

  • cool

  • i'm amazed the nose gear held without collapse given the angle. pilots did an excellent job. great landing

  • Props to the pilots for holding up the front wheel off the ground for so long. Great landing

  • ouch! don't go near hte plane after the land it's burning rubber...

  • Im flying JetBlue next Thursday with my Mom. MY FIRST AIRPLANE FLIGHT!!!

  • this is amazing of course they could all feel it on the inside but it was amazing

  • I read about this on the internet.

  • I'll be booking up flights with jetblue tomorrow

  • i remember seen this on tv

  • the plane's nose gear is sideways

  • Great job, by the crew.

  • i'll be riding jet blue more often

  • always airbus...

  • yeah, the lethal accidents always happen with Boeing. :P

  • the tyre was turn to the front side...thats y the plane got sparks

  • is that an airbus a320?

  • I think the plane lost engine reverse thrust. That's why it had to stop the aircraft on tirebrake alone. Hence the burnt out tire and brake.

  • No dude, watch again and see the gear failure. Awesome landing.

  • What gear failure? Unless you mean the sideway orientation of the front tire. Still the inactivity of the reverse thrust was conspicuous.

  • ur an idiot

  • @trent8002003

They didnt use reverse thrust because they needed to keep the nose up as long as possible, so that there would be less damage on the front wheel.

  • Dammnnnnnnn,,,,, :)

  • holy crap

  • that pilot was sooo smart i dont think anyone else would have done it better than that

  • Actually, any other commercial pilot could have performed exactly like this pilot did. Pilots go through a very strict training program to be able to perform calmly and efficiently in emergency situations. If you want an example of SUPERB piloting, just look up United Airlines Flight 232. The pilot lost all controls, yet was able to land the plane using just the thrust levers.

  • That one didn't have time to return to an airport... It was either crash into towers in New York or crash into the Hudson River.

  • Now that's how you burn rubber....Side them tires sideways!! WHOOOP!

Good job by the pilots though! :)

  • its not fake a bit, i remember watching this!!! i just coulnt figure out what had caused all of the flame becuse i did not see much of it, but it was on for along time.

  • JustPhil22 , it isnt fake. i was watching this landing. TRUST ME! it isnt fake.

  • did sombody forget to put the torque link pin back in after the tug pushed it back? or did the wheel centering cam fail? I know that the nose wheel steering pistons hydraulicly lock the steeging and disengauge as soon as the squad switches on the torque links are both touching. as soon as the oleo is fully extended, the nosewheel steering disengauges....this could be a failure in the wheel centering cam?

  • English please?

  • it was caused byt a wheel centering cam failure. In laimins terms....there is a device on the nosewheel of airplanes that automaticly centers the wheels so that it stows inside the airplane without damaging components inside or the gear doors, or the aircraft itself. and I meant to say squat switch. those are "triggers" so to speak so that the airplane "knows" when the wheels are off the ground so that the landing gear can retract. they are safty switches basicly.

  • Olio means air-oil strut. Large aircraft do not have a suspension system like cars do. Nitrogen gas is mixed with hydraulic fluid and the compression rate of the strut is controlled by a tapered pin and an oriface (restriction) basically speaking.... the airplane "suspension system" so to speak rides on hydraulic fluid and nitrogen gas. Mixing nitrogen with hydraulic fluid makes the fluid "spongey" and more effective as a shock obsorber.

  • easy on the tech stuff

  • haha, no problemo. We are required to know that much information about somthing as simple as a centering cam.

  • fully sic

  • wow- and still got center line :O

  • I think he drew a new center line...a black one.

  • hahha yeah i agree that :D

  • justphil22 for your own information this was on national news here in the us all networks carried it.....nothing fake here

  • how did it happen?

  • this is not fake i can remmeber when it happend theyre landing gear wouldnt work and they couldnt dump fuel so they had to fly in circles forever and then land on the gear sideways

  • Umm Phil this happened like 3-4 years ago at LAX I don't know how you think it's fake.. it was a major incident..

  • Che culo che il calore non ha fatto incendiare anche il resto...

  • wow...great landing !!!

  • I saw this video on Tv live and on other news stations on the internet.

  • ok...I watched it more and I take back what I said...I watched it without my contacts and under the influence. Sober and with clear vision I now see the light...haha

  • the pilot must have been soaked by the time he stopped and screaming "FUCK FUCK FUUUUUUUCK..." lucky bastard lol

  • Wow...I didn't know real time video on CNN has a lag...you know... like a crap computer with MS Flight Sim on it...FAKE BS ALL THE WAY...it doesn't even look real...wow! GAY!!!

  • lol, i c wut u mean, I'm sure the gear would have been snapped off at that angle

  • This is totally real i was watching it on live tv when it happened

  • dam hes good

  • now that's going to leave a big ass streak!

  • that was a good landing

  • that was sooooooo real

  • Very good. However in that situation I would go with AS 100 instead of 130 which it looks like he does, In thought of the short runway. Big medal to the captain and his co-pilot. Well done

  • I was on this flight......I was in tears, I was scared shitless. The worst part was circling around the whole time burning fuel, it gave you all that time to think what could happen. IT SUCKED!

  • wow

  • Jet blue:we have a retarded wheel Control: just try and fucking land it

  • NIce

  • ey this shit was off the hook..yeah incredible

  • good job doctor pilot

  • OKDANTE, Maybe, just maybe in a situation like that they scramble another smaller aircraft (maybe military) to help talk the pilot down. That way he gets real time information on the undercarriage situation when on approach and during touchdown. And the perfect angle you spoke of might have been recorded for F.A.A evidence.

  • The landing gear was stuck, perpendicular to the body of the plane. I watched this with my mom and we both hoped, since it is a Jetblue flight, that they turned off the satellite television they have in each seat. I would be scared to death knowing I was on a plane that was making national news. The pilot kept the nose up as long as possible when landing. I am sure there are at least 100 passengers who think of that great pilot, and how he saved their lives, every day.

  • i remember when they played this live on CNN. the pilot on an interview after this said he was upset that he was off the the line by 2 inches on the runway lol.

  • that pilot has skills :) and brown trousers...

  • I remember this on the news. Of course all the news agencies were there! If I remember correctly, the gear never retracted correctly, so they had to land immediately (where they had just taken off from). They were fully loaded with fuel, and expecting a crash landing, so they had to circle to burn off as much fuel as possible and so ground crews could get ready. That means a lot of news crews could get in position.

  • man i remember how this was on EVERY news station. everyone was hella worried about how their landing was gonna be and when it did land everyone had their jaws hanging open. that is the most amazing landing.

  • Dayng....

  • good pilot

  • Any doubters seen the Clip Titled : Land and Burn?. Call me old-fashioned, but I rest my case.

  • funny home-made

  • it was real...

  • lol, u think its fake. this happened. I remember watchting on every news channel

  • Idiot

  • Ok, I see, usmc...tell me who is an idiot? :D Nop, just kidding. But this vid seems to have a perfect angle and a bit unreal colours. I admit it is real on the third view, but it looks like, that every news-propaganda-agency was there faster - to prepare that perfect angle - than the emergency staff and everyone from news agencies propably hoped, that a disaster is going to happen. I know those news hyenas. A strange world, a very strange country.

  • :) And these idiots vote! Scary.....

  • the plane had to circle LAX for a couple hours to burn off fuel since A320s dont have the ability to dump fuel. of course most news crews had time to set up

  • What happened in the begining? Did it land to far from the begining or a bad landing?

  • it just came down wrong (the landing gear)

  • camera angle is too perfect to be real

  • it really happened. i saw it on news

  • WOW! buy that pilot a beer!

  • OMG THE WHEELS BURNED OFF!

  • normal, it was stuck sideways.

  • nice job man !

  • AMAZING. congradulations to the pilot

  • Damn, that pilot kept the plan straight on the dotted line, very impressive.

  • can you say, world record for longest skidmark ever?

  • Nah, close though.

  • what about the one in the co-pilots trousers then?

  • wow
