Though on a tournament I agree that it's legitimate to make use of every advantage you got over the other player, because you are, after all, there to win. Unfortunately there are a lot of players online who ruin the experience of a good fight for me because of those same tactics. For example the Sagat hanging out on the opposite side of you, only throwing tigershocks and using those tigerknees when you finally get close. Sure you win, but is it really fun that way? It ruins casual play for me.

Deal with it. I mean, come on, if it's in the game use it. If it's banned, don't. When you play, play to win, and use every advantage you can. Only losers complain about "cheap" characters.

Combofiend's Abel almost never seems to roll. Maybe it gets thrown out of more in higher matches? Gotta try some of the stuff he does (main Abel myself).

if you can beat sagat then hes not broken. ive beaten sagats before both scrubby and high lv play, the only character that isnt as good as they should be is E.Honda.

alex shows balls by using ryu cause even though ryu is probualy the easiest player to use and u can get really good with him with little practice everybody knows how to fight and counter him show use him at your own risk

Well the tiers are much closer together unlike SF3 but they are still there. The gap between high and low tiers is smaller.

I can definitely see a difference in Japanese pros playing this game and American pros playing this game. These guys are always aggressive and in your face while the Japanese pros are more strategic and wait for one another to make a mistake.

The difference is not between japan and america. Its between ppl who played it for months vs ppl who played it for days :P. More experienced players can block more and can turtle. Even though turtling is BORING!

i completly agree usually i would say da difference is between players but not in SF4, the japanese love spaming while me im not american but i hate spamers i get in ur face confuse u with different tactics and win, when i fight ppl dat turtle(jap) i just stay on the other side and watch the clock go down lmfao so i make them move instead. Japanese payer like 2 turtle and spam long range attacks while other ppl dont do it ! i havent met one jap dat didnt turtle and spam !

don't use "jap" it's slightly offensive lol. i've met plenty of japanese players who definitely don't turtle much and they were really strong. although the ones who do are equally as scary cause they can read their opponents well.

the thing with players in US is that they may be aggressive but they really kill themselves. i've seen lots of videos of US pro's going to SBO for other SF games in japan and they get toyed around with so even if they play "flashier" it doesn't help them win at all.

This game had a practically non-existent American arcade release and is being officially released to consoles on... uh... TOMORROW. so you'll have plenty of time to learn lots of combos and whacky bullshit real soon now.

Yes there are combos that you can execute but maybe just not as much as SF3. The new "Focus Attack" is like parrys/counters just that you take damage when using it. and no its not like SF2 and defiantly doesn't feel like it but uses the same characters(with four new characters)

i just got it yesterday and i say it is well worth the 60 bucks. The gameplay doesnt seem like its too deep at 1st but is actually alot of depth

Oh, and Yun's SA3 isn't abused like nuts in 3rd Strike. If a character's got awesome moves that are good, why wouldn't they be used often?
