@Xadorablelyricsx can you mask with movie studio? no. this is an alternative method. this helped a lot of people with their masking problems so calm yourself and actually watch the whole video.

can you mask something else, say like the other versions where you could use the pinpoints and whatnot?

@hiddenlab you can mask any picture with this method. if you are a pro 8 or pro 9 user, then u already have masking built in, with those pinpoints.

I have sony vegas movie studio, and someone told me that it actually lacked a masking key, so it was impossible to mask.... Can you really mask with this version of Sony? Cuz I can't afford anything else, and I've been wanting to do this for what seems like decades! Lol.

yh it dose i had vegas pro 9 trial and loved the masking tool then someone told me movie studio was exactly the same but much cheaper so i bought it and it had no masking tool!!!

Where do you find the symbol

okay, look at 0:20

and then you will see that tool bar on the far right of your screen, then look at all of the symbols on the bottom of the tool bar, and it should be there.

just look closer on my video at 0:20 and you'll see it ;)

it should work for all types of movie studios.

&& yes. you can do this for clips, but you would have to take a picture of every still and individually crop them. it's a pain x{

oh yea.

if it is a really long video, that's a lot of work, but if it's short clips, then just take pictures of every still, mask them, and put them together.

the easiest option is if you have pro. 8, but we are not working that.

so, taking pictures of each still would be like our only option.

there is a easier way i use to do this on photofiltre

after you trace it just go to image-automatic transperacy-outside selection..then save it as a png
