  • The chorus of We Three Kings as sung here is much better than that of the original We Three Kings. I refuse to sing it the original way now that I've heard this.

  • Sarah sings it well:

    King And God And Sacrifice

  • I always thought this was Peter Paul and Mary. It's definitely their sound. Love it.

  • Why oh why don't the radio stations play this more? Deserving!

  • Wish they had a trumpet in this. I love it though.

  • Seriously? The song is uploaded by Nettwerk and they couldn't get the end correct? You need to fire your compressionists.

  • wow so good

  • I hate this group but this is the best version of this song.

  • @strokerman01 Yeah, Sarah Mchlachlan is what makes it great! :)

  • The style and their voices just go with the feel of the original song. Best remake, by far, of any Christmas song.

  • @musicallysavvy mine too. I could listen to this all day!

  • This is best Christmas song in the last 30 years. It is AMAZING!!

  • I would never have guessed it was the Barenaked Ladies. This is the only version of this I can listen to, so much bounce and feeling.

  • I come back every Christmas and listen to this song over and over.

  • God DAMN this is catchy.

  • @MrBuch169169 Really? Swearing at this song?

  • I really love this version.

  • @senpai16 ME TOO. It just brings happiness. :)

  • i love this song i am singing this for my chirstms concert at m school

  • Love, love, love this version! Ever since I heard it when I worked at Walmart during the holiday season, it's left a warm spot in my heart.

  • how sweet.sarah has a beautiful voice,barenaked is great

  • @thenervousgun i disagree, i love the feeling of god rest ye married gentlemen and im 16 its the atmosphere of the song. I also dislike this song

  • @Bradbssargdons let's face it, they did a pretty awesome version of a relatively boring Christmas song.

  • @TheNervousGun I agree. This was from a live performance from the Jingle Ball concerts in San Diego benefiting Becky's House, a shelter for battered and abused women hosted by Jeff and Jer. Love this rendition not only for its musical quality, but also for its noble gesture.

  • Questionable band name, but one of the best renditions of this song made EVER.

  • @TeamRAKENZAN i was thinking its the worst rendition i have ever heard. they completely butchered a timeless classic and made it something its not

  • @Bradbssargdons ah, i wouldn't go that far, it's a charming rendition. God rest ye is one of my favorite christmas songs, and this version, while it's a different approach, is no where near being butchered. You still feel the soul in the song, and that's what counts, no matter the style.

  • Sarah McGlahclan is an earth angel

  • The choruses on this song are unsurpassed.

  • Sarah is an angel. The guys voices are perfect with her.

  • LOVE IT!

  • The chorus gives me chills.

  • @Tokiogrl09 it is

  • I think i heard this song about 7-8 years ago when i was pregnant, my son is now rocking out to it today as we hang up our stockings.

This is still one of my favorite Holiday songs, thank you for sharing it with us.

  • YAY CHRISTMAS

  • This version had me bobbing my head :) Great song to get me in the Christmas mood just 26 days!

  • I love listening to this song in season :D

  • It has taken me 3 months of looking and I finally found it. Totally worth it

  • @HolyFriedEgg And in the right season too :D

  • @HolyFriedEgg That's odd. I just searched "God rest ye merry gentlemen" on Google search and this was the third thing in the results.

  • Pfft I remember my friend and I jaming to this while working in religion class last year. Best. Class. Ever. <3

  • This song always gets me in the Christmas mood! :)

  • All time favorite christmas song!

  • Best version of this song.

  • @meksoccer16 by far

  • @meksoccer16 If you think this is good look up the Racal Flatts version if you haven't. Both are really good.

  • @meksoccer16 agreed.

  • No holiday can ever live up to Christmas

  • 31 people are not merry gentlemen.

  • this is a awsome song i cant wait for christmas i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol

  • This, this is definitely going onto facebook!

  • This song (by the BNL) makes me want to get up and dance!

  • Why am I listening to this in August?

  • @GothicNarwhal CHRISTMAS IS FAST APPROACHING, LESS THAN A HUNDRED DAYS TO GO!!! MANY OF US ARE AWAITING THIS MOST JOYOUS SEASON!!!

  • @GothicNarwhal - Because Christmas music is amazing, regardless of the time of year!

  • @GothicNarwhal I'm listening to this song because...It was stuck in my head anyways.

  • @GothicNarwhal Cause they NAILED IT!!

  • @GothicNarwhal If you don't know, why the heck would I???

  • @GothicNarwhal This song is so catchy its great to listen to anytime, not just at xmas.

  • I sing this every Christmas since i was 4 <3

  • Does this version really end so suddenly, or does it just cut off a little early? Just curious if anyone could answer that for me.

  • @13gothMoth If I remember correctly, it continues the rest of the line instead of cutting out so abruptly.

  • @dswforever Oh, okay. Thank you.

  • @13gothMoth u seen a lili sarcastic haha

  • @mrbrokencyde11 u seen a lili sarcastic? What the fuck does that mean?

  • Where the fuck is my myrrh verse?!

  • @AnarchalPatriarch Or...myrrhse.

  • all you 30 haters be jealous that you cant sing in harmony like that. keep rocking BNL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @Fairystone2 Check out PPM's A' Soaling

  • @Maxwell1901 The songs you list are all SECULAR songs, about the Christmas season, not about the Savior. I believe "White Christmas" was the first secular Christmas song, which started the trend of taking Christ out of Christmas. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and We Three Kings are about the Savior.

  • It's March 27th, in the middle of Kansas and it's snowing...just had to listen to this song!!!! Makes my day!

  • Sarah makes the song...

  • I'm not even religious and i still think this song is catchy.

  • @boa5252 me too

  • it doesnt even have to be christmas time to listen to this, its just a good any time of the year.

  • I've actually heard the story of how they got their name. A couple of them were childhood friends, and for some reason they got their hands on a Victoria Secret catalog or something and were looking at pictures of "Bare Naked Ladies" as they called them. They grew up, formed a band, and thought that would be as good a name as any. There you go, even if it is second-hand knowledge and thus suspect.

  • very nice version of the song

  • fantastic version :)

  • i listen to this song year round, haha:)

  • The original is usually the best by Loreena McKennitt.

  • Sarah is the icing on this cake!

  • Lamers. Nothing scandalous about naked ladies. I love BNL & Jesus' birthday, though the latter much more than the former. :D

  • To Ezdduf4kuZ, I know very little about this band but as a musician I can only surmise that their name came about as a creative way to draw a crowd to their performances. much like calling your band "Free Wings and Beer". Really brings folks out to see what your about!

  • The Apocalypse is truly upon us when one of the best Christmas arrangements is by a group called BareNaked Ladies!

  • Love this! Christmas is new again!!

  • Canada's Barenaked Ladies....so how did it come about that they decided to be called ladies. I can't get an answer and nobody'd thinks too much about addressing them as that...&barenaked yet. Anyhow they did great job of this carol, & that's saying alot since it's one of my least favorite. Oh!, my favorite by far is The Little Drummer Boy, and there are so many versions of this classic. I just got off on "The Almost", earlier it was "Jars Of Clay" & "Johnny Cash". Season's Greetings

  • Probably my favorite Christmas song and/or version of a Christmas song ever.

  • Luv this version, what a great arrangement...reminds me of peter paul and mary stuff from the 60's lol

  • @tisketsdaddy

    Agreed! lol!

  • Mr. Bean's version is better!

  • This and the Fairytale of New York by the Pogues are the only ones I can stand ... this is an awesome arrangement and Sarah is just freaking awesome

  • 26 people did not bring tidings of comfort and joy.

  • 26 people need to get NAKED and enjoy the music here...

  • M yfavortie Christmas song and artists!

  • Me too about the only Christmas tune that did not make me feel like smashing the radio...

  • Me too about the only Christmas tune that did not make me feel like smash the radio...

  • I love this song and can't believe that I will ever get tired of it. Everytime I hear it I immediatly perk up and want to sing and dance! What a great song!!

  • king of kings the True God thank you ! lord Jesus

  • Too cool, and all you brats are too young to know that they're doing a very retro sound - they sound like '50's folksters like The Kingston Trio. This is the best Xmas tune I've heard in years.
