Yep. My paternal grandma was told back in 1922 that Armageddon would be here by 1925 at the latest and she'd never grow old and die. My materal grandma was told the same thing in the 1930s. They're both long gone now and the WTS is still desperately spewing the same crap for the past 135 years. The only amazing thing is that they have any followers left at all.

I used to constantly get my @ss hauled into the Second School for "a little chat" to "readjust my thinking", because I used to ask them all kinds of questions they didn't want to have to answer. I think the younger kids that are being raised as Witnesses now, aren't even really aware of the whole "this generation will not pass away" nonsense.

im of a new-er generation of ex witness when i left was 1999, why? they were still preaching the "dont go to college" "if anything join the bible school or the watchtowers" ive known many that hit the bible school came back demonistic or acting like they are a demon. @TheScrewed- It's when I started to honestly research that it started to fall apart. I "needed" to make myself a stronger witness, so I figured getting rid of old nagging doubtswill make me the servant of Jehovah I always wanted to be, & I 'knew' that research would strengthen my faith.

That the evidence for man's 100,000year+ existence was overwhelming, & I they lied about what evolution really is + more. The worst breakdown of my life & suicide attempt followed. Trauma, nightmares...

I suppose it was questionings of many different things swimming in my mind that aggregated over time towards a critical threshold. In 2005, it was going to the meetings, seeing everyone, knowing that someday they will all refuse to speak to me started my breakdown. That and my lifelong fear of the world outside the Tower, knowing that's all I'll have, & I have no one out there- terrifying. Falling with no parachute.

@barbsinclair I try! I just would like it if more would see the videos. Jehovah's witnesses will usualy neve come on my vids to argue because I don't go with doctrine, I prefer showing what the org printed in the past and this is something they can't argue against, so they see and I believe it puts doubt in them. I just hope my videos can addictive to many jws so they'll come back to watch more and more and eventualy leave the cult.

I hope what you say is true, but I have a childhood friend (who is 52, we went to school together) who just got baptized and I have used the many changes in generation meaning plus many other changes/flip flops in doctrine to try to bring her back to sanity, but she refuses to see reason as she cites Prov. 4:18 continually. She is a highly intelligent person and the WB&TS has completely brainwashed her...very sad indeed. Keep up the good work!

@TheScrewedGeneration sadly, it gets more difficult that just walking away. what do you tell the (pick one) kids, parents, aunt, family, maybe your boss, do you start doing christmas, do you still believe in God? you know the history of the cross, and even though jc is the savior for JW do you leave and do that? it is complexed. it takes years......it is not as simple as just leave. many people hurt who stay or go.
