Yep. My paternal grandma was told back in 1922 that Armageddon would be here by 1925 at the latest and she'd never grow old and die. My materal grandma was told the same thing in the 1930s. They're both long gone now and the WTS is still desperately spewing the same crap for the past 135 years. The only amazing thing is that they have any followers left at all.
@01Mary02 The reason they have still many followers is because of the best trick of all - Lying! Along with false prophecies comes lying to cover it all up. And these poor peolpe don't check things out for themselves.
@TheScrewedGeneration Bingo. I used to constantly get my @ss hauled into the Second School for "a little chat" to "readjust my thinking", because I used to ask them all kinds of questions they didn't want to have to answer. I think the younger kids that are being raised as Witnesses now, aren't even really aware of the whole "this generation will not pass away" nonsense.
@01Mary02 And if you tell them about it, they'll say you are lying and refuse to do the research, like another JWs I was speaking to on another video.
Reminds me of Mathew 8:18. You better cut off your hand and your peewee -
"If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into eternal fire."
im of a new-er generation of ex witness when i left was 1999, why? they were still preaching the "dont go to college" "if anything join the bible school or the watchtowers" ive known many that hit the bible school came back demonistic or acting like they are a demon. Cold hearted ***holes. grandma is one of them. False teachings how about altered bibles. the old translation is more interesting :-) new: new news is OBAMA is the one to bring in the NWO um ok.. ya im sorry im not that happy withnwo
guys, you think an average JW gives shit about generation definition? The doctrinal apathy is rampant, especially among the burn-in-truth. They have nowhere to go, they are trapped and scared into submission so what difference does it make what new bright bullshit comes from Brooklyn?
I was comforted in knowing that my mind would never waste away like Grandma's, because I will never grow old, I'll never need to worry about many of the nightmares of old age. And going to college was obviously not for me- I wasn't that stupid!
Then the Nov 1 WT gave us the "New Light." I couldn't take it. I fell apart,
@TheScrewed- It's when I started to honestly research that it started to fall apart. I "needed" to make myself a stronger witness, so I figured getting rid of old nagging doubtswill make me the servant of Jehovah I always wanted to be, & I 'knew' that research would strengthen my faith.
That the evidence for man's 100,000year+ existence was overwhelming, & I they lied about what evolution really is + more. The worst breakdown of my life & suicide attempt followed. Trauma, nightmares...
@TheScrewedGeneration Disassociated 31Jan2008. I still can't believe I actually survived it. Amazing. Eventually I'll post on my blog + videos here about it.
@TheScrewedGeneration It's very difficult to pin down when it started. I suppose it was questionings of many different things swimming in my mind that aggregated over time towards a critical threshold. In 2005, it was going to the meetings, seeing everyone, knowing that someday they will all refuse to speak to me started my breakdown. That and my lifelong fear of the world outside the Tower, knowing that's all I'll have, & I have no one out there- terrifying. Falling with no parachute.
@727Phoenix plan for retirement, work an extra hour put some cash away for a rainy day, learn to cook real food you like for YOU. make your YOU-topia. be well. I hear ya, sitting next to ya at the big convention....you are not the only one.

WT Feb,15,2008, pg24, par13
"Jesus must have been referring to his disciples when he made the statement: “This generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.”
@barbsinclair If JWs could see the insanity of it all, many would leave, but still many others would still stay and repeat their little proof texts to convince themselves that it's the truth. They get on my nerves when I hear them call this trash (or see them type it as) "the truth"
Many are leaving, many right now are lurking, watching these video's, reading the comments. We all get private messages from questioning JWs. I know cause I get messages from them on the internet. And all of them say they are watching YT video's and reading the internet and the ex-jw forums. This video of yours shall help some of them "see the insanity of it all"! Good going! xxxTSGxxx
@barbsinclair I try! I just would like it if more would see the videos. Jehovah's witnesses will usualy neve come on my vids to argue because I don't go with doctrine, I prefer showing what the org printed in the past and this is something they can't argue against, so they see and I believe it puts doubt in them. I just hope my videos can addictive to many jws so they'll come back to watch more and more and eventualy leave the cult.
@TheScrewedGeneration Superb videos Screwed! I hope what you say is true, but I have a childhood friend (who is 52, we went to school together) who just got baptized and I have used the many changes in generation meaning plus many other changes/flip flops in doctrine to try to bring her back to sanity, but she refuses to see reason as she cites Prov. 4:18 continually. She is a highly intelligent person and the WB&TS has completely brainwashed her...very sad indeed. Keep up the good work!
@TheScrewedGeneration sadly, it gets more difficult that just walking away. what do you tell the (pick one) kids, parents, aunt, family, maybe your boss, do you start doing christmas, do you still believe in God? you know the history of the cross, and even though jc is the savior for JW do you leave and do that? it is complexed. it takes years......it is not as simple as just leave. many people hurt who stay or go. Thanks and be well.
@thepixieful I know it's hard but some get healing quicker than others. It depends if they don't stay away from other ex-jw's or web outreaches to jws.
Funny, my mom was asked to quit her job in 1974, we became poor after that, dirt poor. The fact is that every generations since the beginning of the cult has been lied to. There was no time that. Excellent you really do your homework and find the best sources and funny as usual.
@SpecialPioneerSmerf Incredible how the boldness of the cult deceives many. You can be bold and preach pretty much anything (as long as you preach with confidence) and people will follow you!
I love having Chaz as a talking icon this is actually fun.
as kids we needed them to be like snap crackle and pop, also can we have a WT cover on Gluttony, our only vice....lol. did we have a spanking issue with adults? twisted but it would be funny there should be some 1950 fetish pix on line to use.

@FSMonster some people have left because of various false teachings that were exposed. Each one has his story to tell.

Read the question at the bottom of the WT Nov 1,1995,pg19
>"(a) What today is "this generation" that must pass away? (b) How are Jehovah's people now coping with this "crooked and twisted generation"?"
this generation "MUST PASS AWAY"
The JWs generation went from being the anointed holy temple class of Jehovah, to crooked and twisted people, and now they MUST die!
Gosh, their anointed halo's fell off; they all turned into Apostates!
