  • Ringo was (and is) musical and has great natural feel, which is far rarer than being a technically gifted "player".

  • @5150mario, McCartney*

  • @Icymarky0123 LOL oops!

  • What songs are they playing?

  • Technique is just a tool to play good the drums or some musical instrument. But the most important, as some people has already remarked, is to have a good sense of rhythm, is the feeling that you put across the music you are playing!

  • Ringo had a great sense of rhythm and lots of feel - and totally awful technique (it is a bit better, now ;-)

Many young drummers now have AWESOME technique - minimal sense of rhythm and, sometimes, no feel whatsoever...

It is no wonder some of them dis players like Ringo - it would be easy for a youngster to get the impression from youtube and some of the drum events out there that all that matters is technique and SPEED...

  • one of the things that Lennon and McCartney liked about ringo is that he didn't "over play". The beatles music just would not mesh with an agressive drummer. I have always defended Ringo's drumming.....he is subtle and does some very interesting riffs. Does anyone honestly think Paul and John would have kept him on if he sucked?

  • @inkey2 I have only 2 words to answer that question. PETE BEST.

  • Ringo is an excellent drummer. Notice that he WAS the one who the Best group in the world picked.............enough said.

  • ringo est mauvais .!

  • ringo has had some of the most respected talented ,and technically advanced drummers play in his band..that's called respect ,folks..something that you give the man who started the modern rock drumming age !

  • Ringo is a very cool drummer, keeps it steady keeps it groovy what else can you ask for of a drummer?? Hes also a VERY humble guy, especially when you take into account that he was on THE BEATLES!!!!! not many people can say that can they??

but in regards to his comments about him being left handed so that makes him hard to go around the drums, i find complete rubish.. Im a left handed drummer and i play a right handed kit and its not a problem for me.. Its just a simple matter of work..

  • @elrojomuerto6x McCartney!

  • Ringo, always keeping the groove. He has some riffs and beats that are quite original and make his playing very personal. Not technically gifted but he's a very good drummer.

  • shit

  • We need more of this PLEASE!!

  • Love Song ^^.. I Love Rongo Starr Fan 1th

  • Grande Ringo. Fai parte di quella schiera di batteristi che sanno veramente suonare.

  • Ringo has like easy difficult fills. Like there not the most challenging fills...but may take a while to get perfect.

  • Ringo fucking does it again is he afriad to play on hie own everytime you see him he has another drummer with him is he hiding soemthing, play on your fucking own Ringo.

  • @BS1965able "Ringo fucking does it again is he afriad to play on hie own everytime you see him he has another drummer with him is he hiding soemthing, play on your fucking own Ringo." ——— Excuse me? Are you afraid to learn English? How about using some punctuation next time. Ok genius?

  • @toddy1968 He plays with another drummer because he comes out in front of the band on most of the songs he sings with the All Starr Bands. What is the other drummer supposed to do when Ringo isn't fronting the band? Other bands play with percussion players and/or two drummers and no one says a word, like the Allman Brothers, 38 Special, and the Doobie Brothers and no one puts them down but when Ringo does it, he gets flak. Give him a break, he was a Beatle not many can say that.

  • Ringo knows how to play and he knows it lol. Prolly the most famous drummer, ever. I'd love to be able to play with someone who has this much self confidence. Not the most technical player ever, but lots of people have always liked the way he plays. He plays like driving a big rig; he knows where all the controls are lol.

  • In a world that goes mad for how many beats you can fit in a bar and who's the fastest etc.. It takes a really special musician to keep time and have a great feel. These attributes from a drummer are worth more than great technical ability. So in my humble opinion I rate Ringo because of this!

  • "Ringo" fans.... I hope U will check out the video for my song " RINGO ". It's a very retro video with Beatleish touches. It was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. The song and video is my attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.

    Peace,

Vinnie Zummo, former Joe Jackson guitarist

  • this is awful

  • Thank you Ringo!!!

  • i wanna be your man cajun style go ringo : ]

  • On occasion, I use this Floor Tom technique. Guess who I learn it from? Thanks Ringo!

  • Sometimes the simpler things are more difficult. You drum an ACDC song and tell me you dont start to think whats for dinner tonite...ooh gotta take the trash out..GF coming over tonight...gotta clean the car...and bam b4 you know it the whole song is pwned badly.

  • "Ringo is a damn good drummer. He is not technically good, but I think Ringo's drumming is underrated the same way Paul's bass playing is underrated. I think Paul and Ringo stand up with any of the rock musicians. Not technically great -- none of us are technical musicians. None of us could read music. None of us can write it. But as pure musicians, as inspired humans to make the noise, they are as good as anybody." -John Lennon, Playboy 1980

  • "Ringo was a star in his own right in Liverpool before we even met. He was a professional drummer who sang and performed and had Ringo Star-time and he was in one of the top groups in Britain but especially in Liverpool before we even had a drummer. So Ringo's talent would have come out one way or the other as something or other." -John Lennon, Playboy 1980 Interview

  • "Paul has been recently quoted as saying that Ringo Starr is still his favorite drummer, much to the amazement of the drumming community and the world at large. McCartney's worked with Steve Gadd, Jeff Porcaro- he can have the pick of anyone, just about, but he still loves Ringo." --- Deborah Parisi, writing for Rhythm magazine(1990)

  • "He was quite simply the heart of the Beatles. John Lennon on Ringo

  • George Harrison (in 1974): "Ringo's got the best back beat I've ever heard and he can play great 24-hours a day."

"Playing without Ringo is like driving a car on three wheels. - George Harrison

  • Ringo, Moonie(Keith Moon), and John Bonham would be my three main drummers. Not technically the best by a long shot but for feel and emotion and economy, theyre always there. Particularly, Ringo."-Paul McCartney, Many Years From Now

  • "Ringo's a great drummer -- I love you Ringo!" -Paul McCartney, The View 2008

  • Paul McCartney (on Larry King Live, 2007): "We loved him. And we just thought he was the very best drummer we'd ever seen. And we wanted him in the group. We were big fans of his."

  • "One of Ringo's great qualities was that he composed unique, stylistic drum parts for The Beatles songs. His parts are so signature to the songs that you can listen to a Ringo drum part without the rest of the music and still identify the song." -Steve Smith (Journey)

  • "Before Ringo, drum stars were measured by their soloing ability and virtuosity. Ringo's popularity brought forth a new paradigm in how the public saw drummers. We started to see the drummer as an equal participant in the compositional aspect." -Steve Smith (Journey)

  • "Starr is vastly underrated. The drum fills on the song "A Day in the Life" are very complex things. You could take a great drummer today and say, 'I want it like that.' He wouldn't know what to do." - Drummer Phil Collins (The Making of Sgt. Pepper, 1992)

  • "He's got tremendous feel. He always helped us to hit the right tempo for a song, and gave it that support-that rock-solid back-beat-that made the recording of all The Beatles' songs that much easier." - George Martin

  • Kenny Arnoff -- "I consider him one of the greatest innovators of rock drumming and believe that he has been one of the greatest influences on rock drumming today... Ringo has influenced drummers more than they will ever realize or admit. Ringo laid down the fundamental rock beat that drummers are playing today and they probably don't even realize it. (Modern Drummer,Oct. 1987)

  • Don Was -- "As a drummer, he influenced three generations of rock drummers. It's not very flashy playing, but it's very musical. Instead of just counting the bars, he's playing the song, and he puts fills in unusual places that are directed by the vocal." (The St. Louis Post Dispatch, 1992)

  • George Martin -- "Ringo always got and still gets a unique sound out of his drums, as sound as distinctive as his voice. ... Ringo gets a looser deeper sound out of his drums that is unique. ...This detailed attention to the tone of his drums is one of the reasons for Ringo's brilliance. Another is that although Ringo does not keep time with a metronome accuracy, he has unrivaled feel for a song." ( Summer of Love, 1994)

  • Bob Cianci -- "He must have done something right. People today still look for people who play like Ringo. If you don't believe me, just check the musical ads. On top of all this, he certainly inspired countless millions of teenagers worldwide to learn drums. There's no doubt it, Ringo's a very important rock drummer." (Great Rock Drummers of the 60s, 1989)

  • Peter Blake -- "Ringo is one of the most important drummers of the 20th century. While he hasn't got any technique to speak of, he realizes how important It is for a song to feel good. His feel is absolutely tremendous. He got some great sounds on the Beatles records. It wasn't all production and microphones, a lot of it was down to the way he tuned them. (Speaking Words of Wisdom)

  • Mark Lewisohn -- "It is true that on only a handful of occasions during all of the several hundred session tapes and thousands of recording hours can Ringo be heard to have made a mistake or wavered in his beat. His work was remarkably consistent and excellent, from 1962 right through 1970." ( The Beatles Recording Sessions, 1988)

  • Tim Riley -- "Ringo wanted to serve the songs rather than show off. As a song writer's drummer, Ringo was the type of musician who could follow instructions as he completed the overall sound. His commitment to the music was bigger than his ego." ( Tell Me Why, 1988)

  • Kenny Aronoff -- "He consistently came up with new ideas that always seemed perfect for the song, but it wasn't just a matter of him picking a basic beat for a song, because lots of drummers could do that. Ringo definitely had the right kind of personality and creative ideas for The Beatles music. You will rarely find a Beatles song without something noticeable that Ringo played or didn't play." (Modern Drummer magazine, Oct. 1987)

  • George Martin -- "I did quickly realize that Ringo was an excellent drummer for what was required. He's not a technical drummer. Men like Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa would run rings around him, but he is a good solid rock drummer with a steady beat, and he knows how to get the right sound out of his drums. Above all, he does have an individual sound. You can tell Ringo's drums from anyone else's and that character was a definite asset to the Beatles' early recordings." (All You Need Is Ears, 1979)

  • Mike McCartney -- "There were quite a few drummers around Liverpool and I used to go home and tell Paul about Ringo. I often saw him play with Rory Storm. ...With Rory he was a very inventive drummer. He goes around the drums like crazy. He doesn't just hit them -- he invents sounds." (1983 interview for The Beatles: A Celebration by Geoffrey Guilliano, 1992)

  • Max Weinberg -- "More than any other drummer, Ringo Starr changed my life. The impact and memory of that band on Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 will never leave me. I can still see Ringo in the back moving that beat with his whole body, his right hand swinging off his sock cymbal while his left hand pounds the snare. He was fantastic, but I think what got to me the most was his smile. I knew he was having the time of his life." (The Big Beat, 1984)

  • Dave Ballinger -- "Technically brilliant drummers do not necessary make good rock drummers. ...You don't have to be a technical Buddy Rich type drummer, you just need to be inventive. He (Ringo) did things I would never have thought of doing." (interview for Speaking Words of Wisdom)

Elvis Costello - "Ringo Starr played the drums with an incredibly unique feel that nobody can really copy, although many fine drummers have tried and failed." (Rolling Stone, Issue 946 — April 15, 2004)

  • The Polices Stewart Copeland: "Ringo is the leader in the education for all young drummers of style over flash, always playing the right things rather than a lot of things.

Ringo "doesn't dazzle with flashy technique and pyrotechnics," says The Cars' lead guitarist, Elliot Easton. "What he does is so much more elusive and difficult: He plays songs on the drums. Anybody who has sat down behind a drum kit in the last 45 years owes him." (USA Today, Praising Ringo Starr, one drummer to another)

  • "Ringo's the most underrated drummer in the history of rock and roll." -Motorhead, Lemmy

  • "Ringo is the most underrated drummer in the industry! His drumming is like life—it gives you the most solid beat. When he drummed on my Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band album, I was totally amazed that he had no difficulty in following the very complex improvisational vocals I did again, no overdubs. I think his incredible drumming was what made so many great Beatles songs possible. We thank you, Ringo! " -Yoko Ono, Modern Drummer Dec 2009

  • "I love John Bonham, Charlie Watts, Phil Rudd, and the nutjob from Wilco (and about a million other drummers) as much as anyone could. They are all perfect for their bands. They are all irreplaceable. But Ringo was in THE BEATLES. Check the scoreboard. Ringo wins." -Steve Gorman, The Black Crowes

  • I think The Black Crowe's drummer Steve Gorman said it best on the band's official website: "Ringo Starrs drumming is infallible, untouchable, and he is quite simply the greatest drummer in the history of rock n roll music."

  • GET WITH IT...y'all are so 3rd grade! Gregg went to North Texas with my husband who would LOVE to play drums with or even MEET Ringo and you say this crap on his vid. Ringo's paintbrush style ROCKS. Gregg looks as stoked as any Beatles fan. He's havin' a great time! Awesome...good for you! I wonder if Ringo's an equal fan of Greggs, hmmm?

    Laurie (Walt Roussel's wife)

  • Ringo and Gregg, awsome duet, great feel ando groove

  • You need to open your head and get a brain in there ... this ain't about being good or not , this is all about music .

  • You wanna see how tiny a Lennono penis is?I'll send you the link if you unblock me!

  • Yes,very hairy.Soooo pale.And very small!Like a little baby penis.

  • John Lennon has the whitest dick ever.

  • I know Jesus is a FAKE sky king.Whilst Ringo shits in ur kittys' litterbox for you to clean it up.

  • But he's more popular than Jesus!..and better.

  • I used to think Ringo was "just ok" Then I 'listen" to more and more songs from the Beatles and he is a very good drummer, He continued to play with McCourtney,Harrison and Lennon after the they broke up. That says alot.

  • @5150mario yes, the same happened to me. Ringo is a fantastic drummer.

  • @5150mario it's not mcCourtney dumbass

  • Comment removed

  • @5150mario thats why he can only play the hi hat

  • ringos drumming worked great beetles music. Skill wise as a drummer Ringo wasn't even close to the top 100 of all time. If these two had done competitve solos on this night Ringo would have left the kit with his pants still pulled down and a RED ass!

  • i admire bonham, peart, weckl, they are great ,great drumers, but ringo is the basic beauty of drums he is just diferent he has a great sound and creativity, just lisent to i feel fine or tomorrow never knows or the grat sound that has his snare on rubber soul album, no man can match the logics of the drum lines on pepper album specially on a day in the life, he was the perfect an for beatles music and that is not an easy task, ringowas the best on his seat

  • ringo's drumming was unique - greg bissonette always loved the beatles and ringo's drumming thats why he looks like he's in heaven.

  • you're also on crack - you wouldn't know good drumming if it was played on your uneducated a s s !! drumming is all about the neil pearts of the world. drumming, and also the rest of rock n roll was just beginning and being discovered. you can thank ringo for showing you and the rest of the world about rock n roll. it's easy once the ground work has been laid - show a little respect you arrogant tard a s s !!!

  • yes worldcitizen -

  • world-c, your heavy duty man.the real deal .dig it.

  • no, world c is not the real deal. he's an a s s. dis-ing a drummer from one of the greatest rock bands ever is so unbelievably ridiculous, he needs to have his "drums" tuned!!

    what a dick

  • You said it: "normal one".

Just because he isnt Bonham or Porcaro doesnt make him a horrible drummer!

His style was the ideal for the beatles' mentality which has to do with melody and harmony mostly.

But i forgot, you're not into beatles as well.

I thing you're just being spiteful here.

    PS. you're a real drummer?

    Why?

  • well it depends from what you mean "drummer" and what kind of music you play, right?

Ringo isnt a virtouozo but his kind of playing, makes him a very good and reliable (band) member and i think he is aware of drumming long time before you even born mi amigo.

  • so that makes you a really BAAAD listener my friend

  • Ringo Starr is left handed.................. and he admits he is not amazing but he was able to always keep a steady beat and made some nifty beats

  • @drumline92 watching this video and others, ringo isnt a LH drummer

  • @AECEntertainment he is left handed. It's common knowledge that he's a lefty that drums right handed. Bun E. Carlos from Cheap Trick is the same way.

  • @sgtpepper1138 sorry, i didnt realize

  • @sgtpepper1138 And Clem Burke from Blondie too!!

  • @drumline92 it'S funny now that yousay he's left handed i think i can kinda see it... i always thought his playing was a little stiff... or actually it just looked stiff.. it sounds good though... maybe that's because his right hand does so much while his trained left hands mostly plays the snare beat

  • @drumline92 Damn Right!

  • I wouldn't say that the Beatles are a bad band. I think that we will still hear their songs in an hundred years. But, it's not because they were so popular that they were the finest band ever. Personnally, I listen to classical music, I think it's there the talent is. Not in the 21th century.

  • greg likes tré cool lol

  • Nice clip ...Thanks for posting.........

  • ringo wiped the floor with the other drummer

  • Ringo sucks dick at drumming.

anyone with the capacity to look beyond his (undeserved) iconic status can see this.

  • spurious: you're the dickhead. with out Ringo the art of drumming died long time ago..

i think your parents dropped you head first intentionaly. that, or you are just a stupid bastard. learn some respect and learn some history you prick...

  • you really have no idea what you're talking about. you definitely aren't a drummer. and most apparent is that you aren't a musician. because any half decent musician will point out that ringo is a fantastic drummer. whether it's the drum track on "old brown shoe" or "come together" or "please please me", these all point out how technical his drummin actualyl gets. listen to any of the live performances from antholgoy 1, "roll over beethoven" live in sweeden from 63: amazing performance.

  • Disliking Ringo Starr does not discredit me being a drummer or a musician. I have never seen him play anything remotely impressive.

  • basically spurious... go get some drum lessons and ask your teacher who some of his influences are. he's gona say ringo. dont comment on things when you dont know what you're talking about.

  • I am a Professional drummer with a more comprehensive understanding of Music Theory than you could amass in your lifetime.

and Ringo is a terrible drummer by today's standards.

You're a bunch of stinking fanboys who probably proclaim John Lennon as the best songwriter ever as well.

Ringo is overrated, I see drummers in their fourth year play things he could never begin to.

  • okay , becasue you know that you have a more comprehensive understanding of music theory than i do? you dont konw that . second; theory has nothing to do with drumming ability or technique. and todays standards? what the hel does that mean? that you need to use double bass pedals and play 1000 single strokes in 1 minute? no . playing drums WELL means that you have rhythm and the ear to play along with the music presented that allows the music to be appreciated in its desired form.

  • Major misapprehension on your part for what I mean by today's standards.

"to play along with the music presented that allows the music to be appreciated in it's desired form" makes no sense, and is simple verbiage.

what I mean by today's standards is that holding a simple, overused beat and keeping time properly just doesn't cut it. his drumming isn't interesting, it rarely adds anything to the music, and it NEVER adds something to the music that couldn't be thought up by a novice drummer.

  • ringo adds drummin as anoter music entity to the song. its not just fillls and what not. its another piece of the music that really glues it together. the same thing john bonham did. they both were tight and held the music together perfectly. they were the rhythm behind the music that directed it where to go. they both had their moments of fills and bonham chose to do huge solos that were amazing.

  • Theres more to music than technique. No one is saying he's the most skillful. Your a bit of wanker too by the sounds of it. Get over yourself, loads of people have a comprehensive understanding of music. Your nothing special. And by the way there are plenty of better drummers than you out there who will tell you that he is a pretty damn good drummer. So you basically just sound like a tool trying to put him down. It really shows you acctually know jack shit about music.

  • Get some talent and make something of yourself rather than whinging about people who are successful. Your a little bitch. Fuck off.

  • What if you were flooded with mail day after day for years upon years non-stop. Lets see how long you would be be able to stand it. Your making yourself sound like a total retard saying hes a dickhead just because he wants to be left alone. When has that became a crime.

  • bissonette looks like nazi tre'cool ;];]

  • Gregg Bissonette said it himself: Ringo is one of his biggest influences.

I've been playing drums for a long time, and I've learned a lot about how to play with a band just by listening to Ringo play. It's not always about crazy out-of-whack beats. Ringo taught drummers how to be a time machine and how to play the drums in a style that fit the songs. I love Gregg Bissonette as well - one of my biggest influences.

  • Comment removed

  • Ringo was good with the Beatles, here he's great. He seems to have improved with age.

  • I dare any drummer to play a Beatles song and realize instantly how important the drumming of Ringo was to The Beatles!!!! Simplicity is the hardest thing to do. It's not only what you play that's important, it's what you don't play that is just as important!!! Ringo, Bonham and Porcaro are the masters!!!!

  • Amen to that!

  • @Champane97 Yup, and its also true that the drums are either the hardest or easiest instrument in a band. Then you add the fact he is left handed and played right adds a lot to the difficulty.

  • @Champane97 I've always said Ringo was a master of subtlety. His simple drumming in songs like In My Life and Hey Jude are subtle yet powerful. But he could also be flashy like Keith Moon in songs like Rain, I Want You, and She Said She Said.

  • The people can say what they want. Ringo is a great drummer. Not so spectual as other drummers, but very very good. And a fantastic man and a person that i love as a one of The Beatles

  • I love RIngo. and Gregg Bissonnette is my dad's best ffriend's cousin. So i was pretty excited that I actully got to talk to Gregg. He's very nice=]

  • RINGO! The master of the backbeat! Love this double drum session with Ringo Starr and Greg Bissonnette. Thank you for posting this video!

    5 stars *****

  • excuse me! Ringo is no master of anything... His All-Star Band (from which this is a rehearsal) everybody else makes him look good! No wonder he needs another drummer to play with him!

  • I've met Gregg and he's one of the nicest famous guys I have come across. VERY good sense of humor too. A joy to watch drum or speak. At a clinic he's simply awesome.

  • Theres one thing you are forgetting, he put drummers on the map and at the front even if he only had one song per record and did not have the greatest voice. Before him, drummers were always in the back of the band.

  • What about big band leaders like buddy rich? Drummers had been FRONTING bands in past.

  • If I was gregg, im not stoped of crying and re-going , itr RINGOOO!

  • ringo created a unique style for play the drums--- !

  • in outher words he USED to be shit.

    It is the truth

  • No, ringo isn't the best drummer, but he doesn't have to be. Back then, all you needed to do is keep a beat. And He is also the master at "More is Less" kinda style. Now you want sophistcated drummers, look up Neil Peart of rush. But this video isn't about Neil. It's about ringo, and he is a awesome drummer for his type. Nuff' said

  • Not only is Neil Peart NOT "sophisticated" he is history's HIGHEST OVERRATED drummer.

  • Right on.

Vinnie Colaiuta , Dave Weckl , Denis Chambers , Billy Cobham are just a few sophisticated drummers .

  • Agreed - but always kinda wanna put Dave Weckl in a category of his own - amazing, magical, sh*t! :)

  • Don't forget Steve Gadd

  • so is ringo

  • Great video. Love the expression on Greg Bisonnette´s face, he is such a magnificient drummer and instructor, and he is in heaven here, like a kid, having Ringo playing with him. Great.

  • John Lennon liked his drumming.

The approval of a musical giant like him, well, 'nuff said!

  • I saw a clinic that Greg did years ago, and spent the first 20 min. talking about the "genius" of Ringo.

One of Ringo's great qualities was creating drumbeats so unique you could tell what song they were from without the rest of the music.

  • but ya gotta remember that was a back then , hit fit what they needed, and he had near perfect metronomic time. that werent known for there licks they liked small simple breaks and fills

  • I dont think so, if he wasnt the Beatles drummer nobody would give a fuck of him..

    That's sure.

  • perhaps but he is funny, like ronnie wood with the rolling stones

  • i so agree, anyone hear of steve gadd or carlos vega, way better than ringo.

  • you can't compare those drummers.. totally differnt types.. but the best part about what ur saying is.. if you ask gadd or vega who their top influences are.. i guarantee you will get ringo.. its not a competition if theyre better. its totaly differnt styles of drumming

  • amen to you teladesor, some people just don't get it.. like a buddy rich mentality, that if you use matchstixs grip your not a good drummer like he is.

  • That's what I thought for years, but being a drummer myself today I must say: Ringo rules the game of playing what the song needs - just the right thing at the right time.

  • if you believe ringo is a bad drummer.. you obviously don't play drums. and if you do play drums, you're a struggling drummer. im just gona put that out there. how about you go listen to the beatles or any work with ringo on drums, and then try to play that song exactly the way it is.. then record it, put it on youtube and send me the link.

  • he' ll never learn to play properly..even is one of the most famous drummer in the world.

  • so he still bad ass

  • Then "properly" is overrated. Don't you realize, his quirks are what made his drumming "unique and interesting".

  • RINGO RLZZZZ

  • To see Ringo to touch it is boring.

  • hi

please, what is the source and date of this magical video?

    thanks for post it

  • o debaixo deve ser melhor...rs

    idiota!

  • ringo, tan mal baterista como siempre, y greg bissonette regular, pero nunca tan malo como ringo

  • e vc deve fazer mais sucesso que os dois juntos!

  • tas PENDEJISSISISISISISISISISSIMO!!!!!!!

  • sube un video tu tocando drums a ver, ignorante

  • la ignorancia es malaa--

  • Ringos Great, and Great played with the Great Maynard Ferguson

  • great!!!:-)

  • its funny how all his body moves except his head

  • Ringo is the best ever!!:)

  • His rythem, and the way he looks is better than half his age.

  • Ringo was/is a GREAT drummer....strong and steady is my hope for myself too, as an aspiring drummer. Ringo was my favorite Beatle, and he's my favorite drummer too.

  • me younger dayzs

  • RINGO ROCKS!!! What kind of drumset is this I wonder? Tama or Ludwig?

  • Most likely Ludwig. He's been using for a almost 50 years now, can you imagine? Amazing.

  • ringo can still rock his heart out:p

  • Love ya , Ringo!!! See you here in July !! Cant wait !! Peace/Love Debbie

  • it's true. Speed is not needed. I mean listen to "The End" by The Beatles. It's not overtly fast or technical. 8th notes on the kick and broken figures over top of it

  • hello mr.religeon nice music

  • oh yeahm you are my favorite drummer. i love the beatles since i was a kid,

    rock on men!! yeah baby!

  • its not about how fast or slow you can drum its all about how good you can go with the song your playing and thats ringo

  • you don't know shit then it seems.

  • know more than you faggot

  • Most drummers badly need to be taught that LESS IS MORE. No one needed to teach it to Ringo. I forget the addy. There is a great tribute site for Ringo with a long list of quotes by famous percussionists. He is very well respected by the greats.

This video is so badly mic'ed the sound is awful.

Ringo is NOT the greatest. But, he obviously is one of the better recording studio percussionists of all time. Read Bakers comment about trying to capture his high hat method and he could not.

  • Maybe because a friend wants to spent some time with another friend.
