Very interesting, I am playing around with the idea of taking this to FL where my parents moved from NY, (I guess we'll be driving half the way, though.) Still, I've only used the Amtrak Keystone and Northeast Regional trains, this looks a little different, in a good way.
@anomalousclouds It is a great fast, convenient, luxurious, and low cost trip. You practically board in the early evening and arrive the next morning, early.I just made the trip, it was so much easier than driving or flying the whole way.

I'm from Montreal (Canada) and have taken the Auto Train on several occasions and absolutely love it... can't wait for the next time.
