They are not comparable. It's the old Gopro which has a to low resolution (512x384 Pixel). The ContourHD has 1280x720 or the new even Full HD. The new GoPro has also Full HD. The best angle for mountainbike videos is the breast mount. For the GoPro there is one available - I built mine by myself. The GoPro has bad audio quality as it is placed in a dust and waterproof housing.
The ContourHD is ideal for mounting somewhere on the frame of the bike. Both cameras are too slow for fast mountain bike action on singletrails. The details (leaves, stones, roots) are blurred. Wide open tracks like Whistler A-Line on good lighting conditions are ok. But not those narrow tracks in the wood.
so which do you like better? the gopro or the contourhd?
