Console games are more expensive because Microsoft and Sony are selling the consoles themselves at a loss. They want to give their custommer the best hardware possible at the lowest price. A PS3 bought for 600$ at its release date will still play every modern games in 2012, whereas a 600$ PC bought at the same time won't run them at all or if they do it will be on the lowest settings with a bad framerate. Say whatever you want about PC Gaming, but it is NOT cheaper.

@pampampiro Supreme commander 2 for the consoles will have a unit cap of 200, lower graphics, no anti aliasing, terrible resolution however the PC version has a unit cap of 1000 maxxed out graphics and up to 16Q anti aliasing. Arma 2 *HAD* so many bugs when it first came out because the maps are huge and the amount of vehicles/weapons that you can get, almost 95% of the bugs have been patched. Now run along and play cod. ;)

I did some research and found out I can make a computer that can run Crysis on MAX settings perfectly for a little under $800. But I'm a bit lazy and building a comp sounds difficult, so what I'm wondering is if there is any computer I can buy that can run Crysis perfectly on max. Like at best buy or something.
Also pc games are cheaper because you don't have to pay royalties to the companies, and they aren't on Bluray, but if you want a bluray, you can do that as well with a Sony blu ray drive. Consoles are mini computers dumbasses.

Computers aren't more expensive JUST for gaming. Like you said, they're for work also, software included. A lot of people would also need a fast computer for video editing, 3D design, etc. It's not all about gaming. How much of what you can do on a PC can you also do on a console? Gaming, movies, music, that's about it. Also, consoles are very limited in their technology, so while PC gamers are enjoying the most powerful components available, console gamers are waiting 5-6 years for an upgrade.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this but Crysis only settings from low, medium, high, and very high. But NOT ultra high. In dwonloading this mod I can make the graphics settings waaay higher and better looking. Now, I want to know what the site is where I'm to downlaod this from. All the step that follow afterwards.

@pampampiro Supreme commander 2 for the consoles will have a unit cap of 200, lower graphics, no anti aliasing, terrible resolution however the PC version has a unit cap of 1000 maxxed out graphics and up to 16Q anti aliasing. Arma 2 *HAD* so many bugs when it first came out because the maps are huge and the amount of vehicles/weapons that you can get, almost 95% of the bugs have been patched. Now run along and play cod. ;)

This was just to show how flawed your logic was. But console gaming is growing because people can't understand the power of the PC and just buy overpriced games. Buying a PC with costum parts is cheaper than most console systems + TV and you will end up being able to save money AND mod your games.

Piracy. Have you ever heard the current state of PC games? Do you have any idea why Crysis 2 is going to consoles? Money. Even though Crysis 1 sold well, they had an big piracy rate. Indie games are also huge victims of piracy, where World of Goo had a 90% piracy rate on PC.
The PC will always be superior, for sure, the hardware just can't be matched by the consoles.. problems is: pirates are making developers question their profit on the PC.

The whole argument that PCs are more expensive is a bit short sighted. Generally most people have some crappy dell computer for word processing and browsing web, plus what ever rubbish they want to do. And then have a console and HD TV, plus set top box etc
Rather then having lots of different stuff, just build a modestly speced PC, wack a mid-high range graphics card in it. A couple cheap TV tuners, wireless keyboard/mouse/controller and hook it upto TV. A cheaper better combined system.

Basically PC games are dying out because game developers are far too lazy to create the PC versions of games along side the consoles and instead do a crappy "copy and paste" to a format that's barely compatible with computers leading to excessive bugs and low frame-rates (Borderlands and GTA4 was terrible for this) but seeing as they are too cheap for their own good us PC gamers suffer

Computers aren't more expensive JUST for gaming. Like you said, they're for work also, software included. A lot of people would also need a fast computer for video editing, 3D design, etc. It's not all about gaming. How much of what you can do on a PC can you also do on a console? Gaming, movies, music, that's about it. Also, consoles are very limited in their technology, so while PC gamers are enjoying the most powerful components available, console gamers are waiting 5-6 years for an upgrade.

why call me a dumb ass, my crysis is modded too, i don't brag saying my pc can run it on ultra, because almost every tweek is different. as i said b4, there is no REAL mode called ultra. its called custom if its modified.

Sorry ive got the game, and there is one called Ultra High iff you got a 2GB Graphics Card or 4GB lol ive got 2 of them 8GB :O:O!!
