Remember that our military is here to protect us and our allies...so in other words you mess with Canada or The U.K. and you'll get a U.S. military boot up your ass as well.
This is an awesome performance! Great job, 2nd MAW Band! I loved your Fourth of July concert at New Bern, as well. That one I got to see in person! Semper Fi!
Thanks so much for your response! The only part I can't get is the line right before he says, "these are the few, the proud, the United States Marines."
I was in the section just above you --wearing the 1860's fireman's uniform . A great sho from section 19 seats 1 &2. Can't wait to review the footage I took.
@MrDanmeyers Hello Mr. Dan, I would like to see what you have on this video. My daughter is in it. And I'm trying to write down the speech from that Drill Instructor during the performance, but the beginning is missing I believe, and there are a few words at the end I can't quite make out!
@agardenut heres the words from the beginning of the speech speech
What makes a Marine?
He's the warrior providing freedom, a cop, a teacher, a student, an executive who spent several months sweating in Iraq, so our tanks didn't run out of fuel. He's the Drill Instructor who has never seen combat....
Sorry you couldn't make out the words at the end, let me know where in the video and I'll post them also.
I was able to see this show live in Hamilton and it did sound nice, however; I was disappointed with the sousaphone player on the right side around the 10:00 mark. Completely botched the countermarch, and corrected by going on the wrong foot.
@drum9812 ..I am sure any Marine who made mistakes will be dealt with through their command...To a Marine your criticism mean absolutely nothing. So be disappointed all you wish and make your comments if you must. Save your judging for DCI (Drum Corp Internationals)! oohrah

As a former Marine Bandsman, they look really good (naturally), however, when did the air wing get a band?

@agardenut I'm sending it uncut to Gunner Sgt Miranda and CWO Bob Szabo-- they can then dispense the clips.
You might wish to call the Tattoo Office and ask Mr. Terence --Producer--if anyone might have taped the D.I. Speech..i didn't.
