  • @4Moonshield4

    Couldn't of said it better...its like I'm forcing myself to give myself a talent I just don't have...only because I don't have a talent...

  • you're right, the most important this IS fingering lawl

  • Yeah.. as soon as i know a part of a song then the left hand comes in I CANT GET IT!!! ... its soo hard -_-

  • Oh gosh, this is the hardest one for me yet. The dreadful playing with two hands. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to have one hand play 1 beat and the other play another. Its like rubbing your tummy and patting your head except 10 times harder.

This is always the part that makes me stop and say, "there is no hope, you are not a pianist"

I Have PIANO fingers for goodness sake!!! iT'S NOT RIGHT!

  • i need help !!! i have a question please someone answer this who knows a lot about piano my question is ;

there are lot of songs having notes that are shown only on treble clef but in these songs left hand is used too

but why left hand is used in a song that has notes on treble clef??

    please explain this !!!

  • @semmamun - Just because it is the treble clef that doesn't mean it is ONLY for the right hand. In fact the bass clef can also have notes meant to be played with the right hand as well. Normally, music compositions have notes that can be played easily with right and left hands playing separately in their own "zones". However, some pieces require both hands to play piano at a higher range (both hands on treble clef) or lower range (both hands on bass clef).

  • thanks for your reply !!

so this is all about ledger lines? i am right???

  • @semmamun - ledger lines become necessary in sheet music only when you have notes appearing above or below the 5 lines of your treble or bass staff. Whether or not you play these notes with your left or right hand depends on where the notes physically appear on your piano keyboard. General rules apply to treble and bass, but if there is tremendous activity in the bass section you may have to use both hands to play it (likewise for the upper regions of the piano).

  • thanks bro (:

  • LMAO!! i about died, I got half way through this one and said "Yeah easy for you to say" just moments before you said "your prolly saying 'yeah easy for you to say" Sorry if i seem easy to amuse but i couldn't help myself LOL! your good.

  • @CwtandFwuffy4756 - The information to my website is on my YouTube Channel

  • I taught myself "Mad" by Ne-Yo and part of the Forrest Gump feather song today, but I can't play with both hands. My left hand is damn useless. It makes me want to bang my head on my piano.

  • @W4lly16 I know what you mean.I cant get my left hand to play something different!!!

    so annoying!!

  • @W4lly16 I know what you mean.I cant get my left hand to play something different!!!

  • Excellent art of teaching.

  • i finaly learned ke$ha your drug is my love on piano... but i play it either left OR right hand :-(

  • piano lessons become easier for those people who knows how to play guitar coz they can position their hands easily from chord to chord.. but me, i dont know how to play any instruments.. so i will practice playing piano.. piano playing soothens my mood..

  • Wow! Thank you so much =)

My left hand does not cooperate much.. Lack of exercise =D

    Big help!

  • thank you for this lesson. youre good at breaking it down

  • omg 2 hands is hard

  • Actually digital pianos also use a system of hammers to "simulate" the action of an acoustic piano..... and unless you have the money and the space in your home to buy a 500-pound piano.... acoustics will work just fine for most of us*

In addition, acoustic pianos do not all have the same action or "feel".... The weight of an acoustic piano's keys can vary a great deal from piano to piano.... that's why piano players must try out a few before choosing a good match for themselves*

  • so useful!! thanks a lot pal

  • I've been playing drums (right-handed) for over 20 years now. This is like learning to drum left-handed, as the left is essentially the metronome. I really appreciate your lessons and am looking forward to going through all of them at least twice!

  • YOUR FINGERS!!!!!! =O The Hands Of God

  • what a great lesson! getting harder. thank you so much!

  • ...

  • ...!

  • just keep practicing. you'll get it eventually

  • im just saying that in order to play the piano you need to hit the keys way harder than a keyboard on 'touch' ....with that kind of placement it is really hard to get power. (it will sound kind of mute :/)

  • That's not true at all........ in case you can't tell in my video.... the digital piano I'm using has hammer-action *weighted keys*.... which means it has a key-touch resistance comparable to that of an acoutic piano.

You don't need to use excessive amounts of strength to play an acoustic piano or any digital piano with hammer action keys............ in fact it has NOTHING to do with strength....... it has to do with technique .... and that technique is acquired through time and practice.

  • thank you for posting this!

  • I tried to watch/listen that (intro)song you played in your "Get Piano Lesson 2 (Part One) Left Hand Basics" video. I was unable to follow it through coz it was fast. So I skipped to this lesson and hoping you have a slow/tutorial version on it. I think it was easy coz I'm able to play songs with chords though. I'm a oido type. I want to learn something new. You got great videos and I'm thankful. Glad to be here.

  • I do a partial slow tutoial on this song at my website. So check me out at "get piano lessons . com" and watch the full length version of this video lesson 7.

  • I've spent the whole night (it's past 1AM here already in the Phils) watching your vids. I've visited your site, too & I admit, those exercises (54321 stuffs) were tricky even if it's easy! But yeah, I've learned a lot in just a couple of hours! You made it so easy even for a oido like me. I bet a lot can play a lotta songs in piano even if they're still or not starting to read notes.

I'm looking forward for more advanced but easy to play songs & exercises from you.

    Very inspiring. Tnx!

  • what if the notes are the same, but the beat is twice as faster? im stuck XD

  • play twice as fast... XD

  • I love that song from Choping.

  • i teach myself piano, but on one certain zelda song im playing, i always miss one two handed part :/ That one part is hard to get really :/

  • haha :P i was learning that song sometime to, i quited because i couldnt coordinate my hands XD

  • good tutorial, nicely detailed

  • man it was all easy till now. haha. but im still practicing.

  • Don't worry, it's still easy. This was just a demonstration... not our regular piano assignments. It's not necessary for you to play any of this stuff (just watch)* :)

  • oh haha thanks.

  • hahaha. Thats what I thought too. :D

  • @justfilmit I thought I was tearing it up until two hands came into play...my brain doesn't want it to go down. i can master it with one hand, but two hands.....fuckk

  • and mine!!!

  • and mine :)

  • Thank you sooooo much for these lessons! They are extremely helpful! You're officially my piano teacher ~ lol!

    Thank you!

  • Lol, and mine :D

  • and mine too! XD
