What i hate about the take offs from Houston is that right after take off the pilot turns the plane to the left or right. i get dizzy by that, but i still love the Airport!!!
I work in Parking at a N. Carolina airport. Today, our shuttle bus drivers were put on alert for an emergency landing of an ERJ(gear problem). Plane landed safely. A shuttle driver later told me he thought the aircraft belonged to RJ Reynolds Tobacco(headquartered in Winston Salem), and wondered WHY they would need big busses for 4-5 passengers on an exec-jet. He had NO idea what a CRJ was. Anyway, just a bit of our "Mayberry" local humor. I thought it was funny!

why doent ba or emirates or all those other airlines bring 747-400 to houston

Apparently not enough demand, or because the 744s are suited better elsewhere in a route network.
Also, Emirates doesn't have any 747s in its fleet.
