  • WORM !!!!

  • this is cool. I work on Cactus rig 122. We are drilling near Carlsbad NM. Cactus is the best drilling company I have ever worked for by far with no other equal. We are using the rotary top drive.

  • man that sucks...been on that rig a few time's..ahhh well.

  • Really liked the tour, that elevator though, I remember when I was a kid, went with the old man out to Kenting #21 (Related at one time to Cactus)and they were set up much like this rig except much more enclosed for winter. I remember that elevator and when ever I ask an old hand if there was one, they look at me funny, this proves I wasn't seeing things or recollecting wrong.

  • ya think...i think the Cactus rig 124 pretty much says it's not a PD rig. the elevator is a nice touch.

  • its not a pd rig & ya pits lol mud tanks.

  • Pits=mudtanks im assuming lol, that looks like either PD 619,620, or 621

  • thats a big tripple and the poor bastard is workin mornin towers the worst shift on a rig. my opinion anyways

  • Ill be in Alberta startign January boooyah

  • nice video. operating engineers local 150 is way cooler though.

  • ah, was gonna ask you if you were rigged up near calumet, passed cactus 47 i think it was , a few miles west of there, today headed home.

  • Come to West texas..Odessa to be exact. Go to the first drilling rig you see and ask for the driller. Tell him you'll get a scrub brush right now and start scrubbing. If you can't find a job in the oilfield you aren't looking. Oh yea take 1 hard hat 2 pair of gloves, steel toe boots, and no lunch.

  • Thanks for that dood, nice triple, my brother and I went into a timewarp watching it, could feel the heat from the mud, not much has changed except an "Iron Roughneck?" and no chain, what is the world coming too?

    Cheers, Mitch from Australia.

  • Im pretty sure this is a triple, most the holes ive ever been a part of here in Ok range from 8000-15000 feet, ive heard that some are upwards of 20k, but ive never been on one.

  • Finished the well before this one at 18,600 near Chickasha, this one was around 16,200, then one at about 15,500, and now set to TD anyday at 14,200 (last three near Wheeler, TX.

  • man this is a big rig..wow.. im motorhand now and I;ve only worked on singles and a teledouble..3-5 days holes is what we do.. this must do 3000-5000m?? must be bored of scubbing or playing cards after a while no ??

  • Also for those looking for rig jobs in the OK area, im pretty sure Bronco is still hiring people, give them a try

  • ive probably done work on this hole, weld a float on casing or something. Based out of ringwood OK, have done alot of work in the sweetwater area. Nice vid, alot nicer looking than those Unit rigs and such :D

  • Where was this video shot!!!!!!!!!!

  • near Sweetwater, OK a few months ago.

  • nice st 80 and elavator ill trade it in for a topdrive

  • Thats the plan!

  • Excellent video......wel done

  • Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it !!! Just do it, oilpatch has been, still is a great life for me - 36 years and still going strong, John G.

  • Well, I raided the phone book (Unit, Cactus, H&P, NOMAC, Nabers, etc) to set up interviews... Didn't work too well. Just had to go to the office and fill out an application. Here in Oklahoma City, there are tons of offices. If you live far away, might have to make a day trip of it.

  • good
