People cant say that the vampire diareis copied twilight becuse they dident the vampire diaries books by l.j. smith where published in 1991,and twilight was published in 2005. the only reson people started reading twilight is because it was made into a film and i read the vampire diaries like 2 years ago,im not being mean to any twilight fans or anythink i am just stating a fact, and i love twilight to cant get enougth of edward cullen, though damon and stefan are hot!

first off tnx 4 posting this, sencondly & I might get flack for this but i would love this show even if it had no vampires..i love damon, stefan and elena all three have great chemstry and this show could have been made w/ out them even tho it was based on the VD books which i read...i thought i was gonna be disapointed like twilight but i wasnt VD gets 2 thumbs up! that being said i DO love the vampire parts i love any sci fi show that the wb/cw has made love supernatural shows
