  • Star Fox 64 may have had better graphics, fixed gameplay, and balanced difficulty, but there is one thing that the SNES version had over the 64: The music.

  • The SNES Star Fox theme is way better than the actual theme.

  • Play this song at the end of New Year's eve, it's awesome.

  • WHO COULD DISLIKE THIS?!

  • @superbrawlman05 noobs and little kids that grew up with iphone games, xbox 360s, etc

  • I still don't understand why Nintendo didn't keep this theme. To me, this is the TRUE Star Fox theme. The current one doesn't even come close in terms of epicness!

  • This music should be put on when i woke up late for school

  • "like" for the one who know this game at the name of STARWING

  • WTF ? What happen to me? I feel like a teen in front of justin bieber!!

  • Gives me memories of back in 1993 when I first played this classic. It felt so real as if I was in space for the very first time. The imagination of a small 7 year old kid is amazing.

  • this is pure E-rated sex.

  • my favorite series of all time :')

  • ¡Viva ZorroEstrella 64!

  • OAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!! LOVE!!!!!!!!!!

  • I bet pepy miss us doing a barrel roll

  • WoW 1993 i wss six years when Star Fox came out now i am 25 i am feeling kind of old now

  • @CaptainViral84 we had the best time, im very lucky about that!

  • why can't all games have music as good as this

  • @joeyunleashed13 i wish we knew

  • Lemmiwinks the gerbil king should be a character.

  • simply sublime <3

  • bello beautifull.

    espectacular

  • My memory is fuzzy now - Did Kondo compose the music for the first starfox? Whoever did was an amazing composer...when performed by an orchestra, it rivals John William's Superman/Star Wars/Indiana Jones themes!

  • @Xozona kondo did not compose the music of the first starfox, it was Hajime hirasawa, I'm not sure he continued working for nintendo after, maybe that's why they didn't use those wonderful themes in the later episodes...

  • FOX GET THIS GUY OFF ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this. lovely melody. it is proof that I always had a good taste

  • 2 votes from Andross D:<

  • If you played and loved the original StarFox on the SNES stare at the Arwing behind the gang...you will half expect it to spin in the background and your eyes will trick you into thinking it will.

  • @kyuubinyoko

the funny thing is, there's a similar updated version used in a few of the more recent star fox games XD

though not as high quality, given that this is done by a real band, and the version in the games is synthesized. but the VG synths have gotten pretty close to sounding exactly like the real instruments lately :3

  • SF was the most kick ass games from my gen

  • Nintendo focuses on kiddie games and we grow up but still enjoy things of the past because we're like that. Does it now make sense why you're 30 and don't like Nintendo games anymore? The new games didn't change, first party games have expanded to even more series and the games are arguably more fun to play, but not as appealing to people who grew out of it. I know I don't care about Nintendo anymore.

They should go back to their roots when they used to make card games and love hotels. haha

  • Two people are bitter they never beat Star Fox to hear this music in-game.

  • This is AWESOME. THANK YOU FOR POSTING.

  • Brilliant

  • In 1993, Nintendo used to know how to make video games. Not anymore though...

  • @koopanique Oh my. What have i been playing this whole time? Interactive movies?! Please sir, tell us more.

  • @IRSPONGEBOB I meant Nintendo used to know how to make GOOD video games, not things like Wii fit.

  • @koopanique K. But what about games like Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3?

  • @IRSPONGEBOB They are good video games indeed. But nothing to see with the first Star Fox or with the games made by Nintendo for the N64 (OOT, Lylat Wars, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, etc).

There are of course some good game made after 2000, but not much (mainly a few Mario and Zelda).

That's my opinion. I guess you disagree, well, you buy what you want. I don't force anyone.

    Have a nice day.

  • @koopanique Those be some huge contradictions.

    Thanks, you too.

  • Androos doesn't like this track...

  • Peppy taught us well,we didnt belieave him or thought it would be any help, but he stil kept on,and on,,,those magical words,..."Do a barrel roll!!!" -Peppy

  • It's like Star Wars, Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica rolled into one epic explosion of awesomeness!

  • @RDarth Yeah maybe if Jon Luc Picard was a furry...

  • @RDarth Plus a multitude of humanoid talking animals

  • Do a drum roll!

  • @petrietri

the funny thing is, there's a similar updated version used in a few of the more recent star fox games XD

though not as high quality, given that this is done by a real band, and the version in the games is synthesized. but the VG synths have gotten pretty close to sounding exactly like the real instruments lately :3

  • @petrietri Can't let you do that StarFox.

  • @ForGreatLols Andross is gonna take you down.

  • @petrietri God damn you!!! xD

  • The old Star fox theme sounds very simular to the Star Trek theme

  • IDIOTS for not keeping this theme for all the subsequent games. i mean seriously... this is perfection.

  • @koeago agreed. the original star fox had some great themes!

  • Ha! Look at how fat Slippy looks!

  • Did John Williams made this

  • @Tacom4ster Koji Kondo made this

  • @Tacom4ster It really does sound like John Williams now that you mention it.

  • @Tacom4ster Lolz John Williams doesn't write all the good music in the world! But it has the frikken awesome epicness that John Williams has too....

  • they should make a star fox game for wii with the motionplus where you hold the remote and nunchuk like actual fighter pilot controls. and make it in first person too.

  • ya its nintendo power i believe does it say like any year? like 92? and ya nice to know that u got it dude sweet

  • dude has anyone ever read the 1992 verson comics of Star Fox before the SNES verson came out? the story is the same in away but at different time thowe. but its better then the ones we had now besides dinosaur planet if they could just go back to those origins and make it like a good movie with 1990 anime like treasure planet and Titan A.E. style. it could be good for an american made movie even make it like a pg-13 movie cause we all know we teenagers have atleast known starfox with zelda rite?

  • @KeIIinator Was it in Nintendo power, if so i have it still.

  • @dexterme ya it was nintendo power was it 1992? lol and sry if i sent this message again if i did but i think i didnt but was it SNES arwings in the comic as well?

  • whenever i hear this i start wishing why cant nintendo make an awesome anime with orchestral versions of the slower songs and synth versions of the upbeat songs as the soundtrack. WITH A FUCKING PROPER DUBBING!

  • There's just something about this song. Or maybe in particular this remix/orchestration. It just gives me such a warm feeling like this is a really really good TV show like superman or somehting...

  • advertising: come barrel roll with us!

  • I love this song! kind of bad quality in the beginning tho... but other than that i love it :)

  • Dude the first 50 seconds or so totally sounds like Super Mario Galaxy as well as many other parts. Chill inducing to the max, glad that they reused the song in another fantastic galactic setting. Still, they need to make another great Star Fox game for Wii.

  • oh i just though of how ace a CGI movie of StarFox would be

  • It's just so beautiful.... It makes me cry with joy.... Never does a theme ever sound as grand as this one in orchestra.

  • Almost sounds as if Super Mario Galaxy may have got some influences from this song.

  • i love this melody

  • a starfox with online for the wii would b cool, being able to choose ur ship and characters is a must, unlike command...

  • I can totally imagine the 1st part being used as the Title theme for some future Star Fox game...

  • i hope video games live put this on their next album !!! so i can see it live

  • Ok on my previous message maybe not kill her but at least get rid of her, and what is the deal with Fox they have made him a pansy.

  • Starfox is one of those unique franchises, I have yet to see another franchise to have furries as characters. You notice every other game all characters are human or alien but never like Starfox characters? It depresses me though that Starfox is losing its luster, ever since Krystal came into play the franchise is sloppy. I say they kill her and go back to the roots of what made this franchise great!!!!

  • You are SOOOOO right! I can't agree enough

  • Yeah, I thought that dinosaur game whatsit for the GameCube kinda blew.

I want classic Star Fox too :(

  • That one, Star Fox Adventures, was actually not all that bad. Assault and Command are just boring and stupid. Come on Nintendo, give us the good old days of Star Fox. I feel like a life time friend of mine has died.

  • I Agree. It just gave us a brand new look to STAR FOX.

  • Eh, i liked Adventures, then again im a Zelda fan.

I really wish there was more Arwing time in Adventures though, i really liked the feel of flying in that game.

  • @DarthAqua89 I agree. This was quite original. Brings back many fond memories of button smashing fun on my nintendo.

  • peppy hasnt told us to do a barrel roll in quite some time.....

  • and slippy hasnt bitched about how he has guys on his "tail"

  • Saving us many headaches

  • ahaha! your becoming more like your father..

  • @joh04667

    "Dibbit-dibbit, dibbit dibbit!"

  • @turbohusque "Kappytat- waun wiebehn!!"

  • @joh04667 inherently, we just push Z on instinct now...

  • @ZackSmithermanStudio Or L/R twice. :P

  • @joh04667 Do a barrel roll!

  • @joh04667 "It's Quiet.....Too Quiet."

  • <3 FTW star fox rulez

  • TRY A CRESCENDO!

  • *sigh* the old good star fox day's =(

  • Who arranged this?

  • Star fox always had nice music.

  • the song is great

    i was really into it!

but u curtailed the epic ending.....

  • Oh what happened to Star Fox. It's like they tossed him in the closet all tied up and said "Your not coming out until the next Smash Bros game which won't be for another 15 years. And while your in here we'll make millions selling games that aren't even REAL games...MUhahahahahahah"

Oh hold on a second I'm getting a phone call from Nintendo... Hello... What do you mean I know your secret! Wait what! your sending a troop of miis to come kill me before I post this! WHat...wait are those...Ahhh!

  • It's a TRAP!!!

  • xkeyzersozex, I am your father.

  • Never realized before that this theme has a star trekish feel to it, how awesome.

  • Yeah it does in a way. This might have been something that Jerry Goldsmith might have come up with.

Actually, If you listen to Jerry Goldsmith's Star Trek ending credits pieces: The Motion Picture, The Final Frontier, First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis, you could actually imagine the Star Fox theme playing instead of the Star Trek one, because they're composed almost the same way.

    Try it and find out!

  • I think that's what the arranger and composer had in mind especially when considering how Star Fox is similar to star trek and star wars

  • This video get 10 BARREL ROLLS!! out of 5.

  • shit we better think on some ideas....

  • maybe aparoided andross troops?

    Starfox:Return Of Andross

    =P

    OR......

    realtime socom/rts type shooter...

    Starfox Fireteam...

    OR......

Starfox 2 revamped up for Wii with new cutting edge graphics?

my ideas.....Give me more and maybe post all these ideas to Nintendo...

  • See the good thing about the series is that ANdross STAYS dead. And Starfox 2 was remade..with the DS. Lol the socom idea sounds pretty fun but it would have to be in the future since SFC left off there.

  • oh god... 0:57

  • when i heard the music in 0:25 i was about to strat crying...

    so many memories!!! god damnit!!!

and sadly and know few people who really understand this feeling.... THE BEST CONSOLE EVER SOLD!!!!!!! SNES!!!!!!

  • You know what? This would make an excellent theme song for a StarFox Animated Series. And I don't mean an anime, or some CG thing. I mean honest-to-god, real American cartoon goodness, in the vein of Batman: TAS and Gargoyles. It's been a while since we've had anything like that. I say we children of the 90's owe it to ourselves to make it happen!

  • Not necessarily. Captain N and the Mario and Zelda cartoons from the 80's, not to mention Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic Underground, AND the amazing Sonic SatAM were all done in American animation. It's entirely possible for American animation studios to adapt Japanese video game series, and just because it hasn't been done recently doesn't mean it can't be done.

  • No the good version of sonic(SatAM) was animated by the japanese.

  • I stand corrected, then.

  • Hahahaha! Yeah, right. SatAM was produced in America by DiC, and probably animated over in Korea. The only animated Sonic features that japan was a part of were the original Sonic the Hedgehog OVA, Sonic X, and Night of The Werehog.

  • Doubt it was animated by koreans when japanese names are all over the credits.

  • Nah they could use muppets! :D

  • Indeed, we need a Star Fox movie with muppets in the cockpit of the arwings! ^_^

  • lol i would not be surprised if i saw that lol

  • @zhanus

We had Avatar until it ended. We need another I suppose that will help show that cartoons are just as legitimate as movies.

  • I agree. May the force be with us Generations Y&Z!

  • @zhanus

I'd love to see that... I'd even settle for an anime or a computer-animated show. Actually I think a computer-animated would be the *best*; perfect for all the special effects, and Fox *did* start out as a video game, not a comic...

But yes, this should be the theme.

  • @zhanus I was about to get pissed that you wanted something american for starfox instead of anime, but then you quoted -quality- american shit, so I know you know.. the shit.. :D that was incoherent wasn't it..

  • @zhanus you damnwell do! i'm 12 and ive never seen ONE good cartoon on TV since i was just barely 4!

  • @zhanus either that or for a Starfox movie

    shit would be epic :D

  • @Tylonfoxx Most game movies really, really suck dude. So no.

Even if a movie was made it most likely picked by a complete idiot like Uwe Boll or something.

  • @zhanus well a guy here on youtube made his own series of starfox his youtube channel is FredrykPhox.its great

  • @zhanus Fun fact: starfox is made in japan.

  • @hankparish Yes, and so are Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, Megaman and most of the games that were featured on Captain N. Your point?

  • @zhanus The fact that it wouldn't be an "american style" cartoon. Sure it would be fucking awesome but it wouldn't happen unfortunitly.

  • @hankparish All of the games I just listed had American-style cartoons. I really don't see why Star Fox couldn't, especially seeing as how its very premise and aesthetic is lifted from American science fiction.

  • @zhanus Yeah but notice somthign about each of the ones you mentioned? they all were poop.

  • @hankparish Yes. And so are a lot of the Japanese ones. My whole point is that American video game cartoons would be better if they were made in the tradition of the better American animated series like BTAS.

  • @zhanus Thumbed up for great justice.

  • This is EPIC!

  • Took the words right out of my mouth *sob*

    ...so beautiful

  • This should be in a movie. I can't really imagine a Starfox movie, but maybe another sort of movie, like Star Trek?

  • I can imagine a Star Fox movie, one that I've given a lot of thought about.

  • it'd have to be completely animated like FF films to be something really worth watching imo. Actors don't fit the job too well wearing costumes and all lol, that'd be SO bad.

  • Actually, I disagree with that. If you did some experiments it could actually work. I've gotten rather tired of CGI movies. I mean, look at the bad guys in LOTR, they were done with actors in masks and they did really well. You could do the same thing with Star Fox, except that it's furries and not orcs. Costumes are not an issue, it's the heads that are vital. Slippy's head, however, I think would have to be computerized.

  • This is kind of why I'm pushing for traditional animation. That's the way talking animals look most natural in my opinion, and it's grotesquely underused these days.

  • I am not sure where I got it, but I have the MP3 for this exact recording.

  • Brawl Forgot this 1

  • because it was too epic i guess

  • No, it's in there, I think it's called Starfox Main Theme if you look under My Music. It's actually done pretty well, you might like it! :)

  • DO A CELLO ROLL!

  • TO CELLO ROLL, PLAY THE CELLO!

  • USE PERCUSSION WISELY

  • haha oh you

  • Yeah, the timpani player gets a little too excited in this piece. LOL

  • amazing

  • It's a gift if you finish the game. Snes great times. Aewsome game

  • If they ever did a starfox anime i can imagine this being it's theme.

  • I want a starfox anime now!

  • Why are people giving this guy a thumbs down?

  • me too T_T

  • YESS!

  • This is very John Williamsy sounding, both the orchestration and the tunes. Very nice, I love the arrangement.

  • I was just thinking that, it reminds me specifically of the Superman march a bit, with a little Star Wars as well.

  • Why does it end abruptly? (4:44)

  • Can't let you do that, Star Fox.

  • they played it at games in concert netherlands it was great!!!!

  • This makes the hairs on my arm stand up.

This was a time when video games had musical scores as epic as movies. Now we have a bunch of bullshit songs by no-talent bands who no one will remember in 5 years.

  • RDarth are you kidding? ^^ Play some Twilight Princess, Resident Evil 5, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fable 2, and many many more. There you'll find some excellent compositions.

Thou i agree that this arrengement is a masterpiece of it's own ^^ The memories!

  • what in god's name are you talking about

  • I've never played this game but I love its music :D

  • I haved any questions ask away

  • BEATIFUL. GOdadadadadada

  • This was the oe i had when i was four years old, My god this sound brings back memories :')

  • All I can say about this music is...

    "All ships check in!"

    XD

  • If anyone can tell me where to find a conductors score and parts for this, please let me know

  • ahH! why did you cut it off right on the last note?

  • Never noticed how similar the StarFox arrangement is to Skies of Arcadia

  • I like this particular instrumental arrangement. It has a more refined, classical feel to it.
