It is good to be on guard... but lets face it; no one is going to take our guns, or post troops. It would never work. Remember, the troops you are afraid of are in the military because they love this country.

Remember that soldiers are individuals capable of wrong doing. If police are crooked soldiers can be as well. Were Chilean soldiers loving their country when they captured, tortured, and killed their own people?

This is why I am in favor of the citizenry owning guns. Have you noticed the administration elect is going to push threw a bill which will make any so-called assault rifles illegal for the common man? The masses should always arm themselves. I guess I have to stand corrected I read an article and Drudge Report about the 20,000 activated troops which will be in place by 2011. It is concerning and irritating. Our Government is not telling us the truth. If home land security is so important, why dont they do something about our porous border to the south? The fact is they do not want to stop illegal border incursions. I think the whole thing stinks to high heaven.

There should be no assault weapons ban but we need more control, as the US supplies Mexico and Canada with guns because we have so many.

Public Law 109-364, or the "John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007" (H.R.5122) (2), which was signed by the commander in chief on October 17th, 2006, in a private Oval Office ceremony, allows the President to declare a "public emergency" and station troops anywhere in America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to "suppress public disorder."
