@aroccop it has never made any of my guns sticky, but a few people did bitch about it. maybe its the paint that they used, but it should make your gun sticky. and no i did not use any clear coats after

@aroccop I've done a few SMALL paint jobs (on polymer grips for my hi-point c9 and my dad's hi-point 45 JHP)...

The paint gets sticky if you do not fully allow it to dry properly, or, you don't allow the layers to dry in between layers, if you just go straight for the finished product, you're going to get imperfections and stickyness.

I primer with valspar primer, the primer doesn't matter too much flat,satin, etc

then the design any brand paint extra flat, and valspar flat clear coat

ehhhh... how do i say this... sucks. way way way too much brown. idk where you live but in normal deserts, the brown is too much. what my friends do is take those commercial camouflage nettings and paint it a base color of tan and put the netting on top and do LIGHT touches of brown
