What that guy is talking about is called anthropomorphism, and as for the way the kitten sprang up its arms to the side... it might be just a defensive stance getting ready to claw the woman's hand. I've handled an orphan kitten once, which was being raised by a guy, instead of a female cat. This kitten was playful, but he would scratch a bit. Kittens scratch a lot lighter than full grown cats, but much more often. Its basically like play fighting.
