@craftywhippet hi there i was just wondering if you could help me as i have just started making caeds i would like to know what kind of card you could let me know what to use for making boxes if you don;t mind are you going to glasgow next week i hope i bump into you
craftyalice @spook999able Card of 200gsm upwards is best for sturdy boxes. You can order online from PaperMill Direct for example. We are going to the craft fair at SECC - will we wear our badges? LOL
Sometimes there is a stand at the SEC that sells card stock at a reasonable price. I think I bought some last year. You might even get a block of card. Go for a neutral colour as you can add colour to it . As Alice says it has to be reasonably strong and remember to make the base slighlty smaller or it won't fit. I think we are planning to go on Friday...just for a look of course.LOL.It would be good to see you.
Alice: Thank you VERY MUCH for the information on the acetate and the shirt. That makes alot of sense to me. Thanks again, I will look up your other videos.
I love your ideas for using the cuttlebugs, but can you explain how you use the "acetate" with the shirt, I couldn't quite understand it. By the way I "love" your accent too... great projects Thank you
Using a sheet of acetate and the shirt peel-offs: stick one shirt with tie to the acetate and cut around the shape; stick one tie to acetate and cut around it; add this on top of the shirt tie with small pieces of foam pad or silicon glue; then stick the whole shirt set to your card as shown using foam pad/silicon.
I ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO AND THAT FASINATING MACHINE YOU USE TO EMBOSS.. HAPPY EASTER.

Ruth says: it doesn't just have to be shirt peel-offs - use cars etc, altering the shape of the background strip as appropriate.
