Everytime I'm riding in a car and I see american muscle I freak out and let my window down so I can hear those beautiful engines rumbles. But.... everytime I look out a mustang I never hear anything. And then I'm always like..... must be the 4.0L V6. But it always has a GT badge on it. But I always hear the fourth gen stangs. Never the fifth gen for some reason, unless the exhaust are custom. Are the newer mustangs just quite?

@Sarcasticscum Ford does underrate some vehicles that is true. Unfortunately, the 2005-2010 Mustang GT is not one of them. I have owned a 2009 and a 2010 Mustang GT. Awesome cars. But power doesn't exceed the advertised 300 hp for the 09 and 315 hp for the 2010.

Cars that have been proven underrated are the 2003/2004 SVT COBRA and the 2011 Mustang GT.

@GibsonRay6 Ya i had the same dilemma but chose a mustang. The reliability is actually good and the interior quality is not that terrible, My sister drives a Saab and my interior is nicer :). It is lacking some features such as a trunk release in the car... But overall youll get a much nicer car for the money. I got a 20,000 mile mustang where he same cash would of got me a 90,000 mile g35

WRONG! there's no 4.6l V6, from 2005 to 2007 or 2006 I think ALL v6's had 3.8L V6 ,  AFTER 2008 to 2010 they switched the V6 to a 4.0L, and now in 2011 The V6 has 3.7L TiVCT Dual over head cammed V6... so This video is damn inaccurate.

Erm, my dad's GT makes 320hp and nothing has been done too it.. FoMoCo underrates it's vehicles hp figures, to keep insurance rates lower.

All about how you treat it really, I have a 2000 mustang 178k miles and it's driving great. Just maintain it right with the proper tune ups to keep it running healthy. Some fellow stang owners I know red-line it and drive it hard daily, and do that with any car it's bound to need fixing. But they know the consequence and if you want to drive hard you pay the price.

Yes dumb ass, the Mustang came from a plain named the P-51 Mustang, and the reason the car's name is the Ford Mustang is because Ford made the engines for for the plains, so a while after they decided to create the car and name after one of the plains in which they were part of building, which was the P-51 Mustang, and if you look it up ROUSH designed an S197 (2005 - 2009) named after the P-51 Plain. ,If know anything about mustangs you know that's where the name is from.
