Take it from someone that sells the LEXUS brand for a living... Toyota is, and will always be the parent company of Lexus. Whoever says Toyota doesn't own or develop the Lexus brand of vehicles has never owned a Toyota or a Lexus for that matter. If you go to Japan you'll notice all the Lexus vehicles have Toyota emblems on them.Compare a Camry to an ES or an Avalon to LS.....

No it isn't. Lexus cars were re-badged as Toyota's in Japan before Lexus was introduced in 2005. Without Lexus they couldn't be sold, so they just put Toyota badges on. The LS460 is sold as a Lexus LS460 in Japan like everywhere else in the world. Same with the IS, GS, RX, SC and so on.
