  • I was in Whitmore Lake yesterday for McCotter's Presidential announcement. Got to shake his hand and talk to him for a minute. A true class act and gentlemen. I may be persuaded yet to vote for him.

  • Matthews doesn't get it. Obviously he is a progressive, and does not report the news. What is Matthews, besides overbearing?

  • McCotter FTW!

  • @DasHelm McCotter for President. (fix'd that for ya) :)

  • @zombies8u

    LMAO thanks you.

    Just found out last night.

But he is way to smart, funny, honest and straight forward to be Pres.

He's too good for that job sadly :(

  • Go Thad! Matthews needs to move to Venezuela and quit trying to remake the last place on earth that believes in free men standing on their own. Matthews is intellectually dishonest. Give up your freedom for Gov't Nanny Statism will get you nothing but chains as a state slave.

  • Matthews is an idiot... the ambulance MUST pick you up and it never asks who is paying for it first!!!!!!!! I ought to know, I've had 5 or 6 rides myself.

  • we do not need to get on our knees to thank people for benefits purchased by the money that was forcibly taken from us.

  • @drywater2k: i think you are missing the point. i am happy that an ambulance has arrived because i am *hurt*. none of that happiness is directed towards the fact that it was a government ambulance.

if a thief takes my money, and then i happen cut my finger... im pretty sure that i can be happy to receive a bandaid from the thief while still condemning the fact that he took my money... and expect NOT to be called a hypocrit!

    get it?

  • @drywater2k: yes.. the thief is govt and the bandaid, in this particular argument, is the ambulance—or any govt goodie for that matter (including all of those that you just listed).

in other words, a "benefit" bestowed upon the victim of a theft that is funded by his or her stolen goods is not something worth praising. and it is certainly not hypocritical for the victim to accept those "benefits" as a form of recooperation... however feeble.

  • @drywater2k: oh yea.. and i understand that you would like to see war spending cut in favor of social programs.. but that has nothing to do with what we were talking about.

and, at the risk of belaboring the point, that is like arguing that your thief should use your stolen money to buy you toilet paper instead of.. q-tips. .....it seems to be missing the more pressing point.

  • This would have been a much more interesting exchange without that wombat-guy with the glasses interfering with the central dynamic between Matthews and McCotter. Good on ya, Thaddeus.

  • Thad,

You can get my vote any day of the week!

  • you left him speechless thad!! lollll great vid

  • You're the man Thad!

I've been having to watch MSNBC because of Olympic hockey and the Olbermann/Maddow/Matthews commercials seriously make me vomit.

Look forward to seeing you on Red Eye soon.

  • Amen. I warched the game last night on MSNBC (Rafalski...2 goals...USA!) and muted all the ads. HA HA HA. Chrissy Matthews is called out as a leftist.

  • Me too, J - I really hate having to tune into the enemy's channel!

  • Well done Congressman McCotter! Chris Matthews is way out of his league to debate with McCotter!

  • Tyrants never know that they are tyrants, as is the case with the current crop of democrats.
