So, you know how Hendrix got the other guitar sound in the intro??? He had a tele on the floor and strummed his foot across it to get the wak a waka wak wak sound while he played the part you just played. Try it, you'll like it. Something I will never forget. He performed at Philharmonic hall in New York City with about 20 plus Marshall amps behind him. You could see the vibrations going right through his body. Incredible loss. Jimi

@flokurt Ive' been playing for 10yrs off and on... I would try both guitar first before you buy find which is better sounding to your ears and feels in your finger... I usually play both of my guitar because i really love the versatility of fenders...thanks for checking out my vids!

i mean, the classic (series) 60's has really aged-looking pick ups and nobs and has a 3 colour sunburst that simply doesn't resemble that one.

This would be the guitar if your looking for blues and psychedelic rock pups!!! Fender is so versatile that you can do any sound you want to produce with it... When it comes to pick ups sure texas specials would be a good choice if your playing a lot of blues... SRV uses that pick up I think? I kept my strat stock it sound awsum enough for me without modifying it... Now go buy one!!!

I have both pedals and I used them together...I used my route 66 to boost my tube screamer when it comes to playing solos... They're both good pedals and versatile but for me I would go to route 66 just because they have more drive than the screamers... give them a try! you'll love them!

What do you think of the strat? Does it sound good under high distorition and gain? How about incredibly clean?

if u modified ur strat to a better pick up it will sound awsome in high gain distortion e.g. emg active pups... I keep mine stock because I just love the crystal clear sound of fender strat and lil bit of dirt to it would do too... fender for life!!! hehehehe!

thanks, i will definitely consider it, i've heard nothing but good reviews on the 212, except for the drive chanel, but my current amp's drive sucks too, so i have a couple of good OD and distortion pedals already.

to tell you the truth, any amp i ever used has had a crappy drive channel compared to what you get from good pedals or natural tube saturation. i haven't tried all makes and models but i've owned alot of amps in my time

I would recommend this amp for sure...It's good all around amp! This clean channel is sparkling clean though the drive side it not bad at all but I always used a pedal for drive...I would recommend to used a ibanez tubescreamer ts9 for this amp I think it's a perfect matched for this amp and fender strat!!!
