I love these animals. As embryo's in their eggshells, they're already fucking angry because they're trapped. Once out of their shell, they start fucking things up and eating them because they don't like being small. Once they gain size they need more space, which means SOMEONE has to move, because this turtle sure isn't.

I guess my issue isn't so much with the status of the animal pertaining to the endangered species list, but the fact you'd own such an animal in the first place. These aren't MEANT to be your pet. That's WHY there are so many in the Columbia River Basin. If they were good pets, everyone would be catching and keeping them, so CITES would have to step in and make laws to protect them, but they figured since it's dangerous, you'd have some sort of common sense, so no law. Boy were THEY wrong.

one time, i found a alligator snapping turtle on the side of the rode. i was 8 so it was pretty heavy, i went back to the house and got a milk crate then i put him in there. it was pretty funny. i dragged him back all the way to my house. it was uphill so it was pretty hard. i'd say he weighed about 30 pounds. i'm eleven now lol.
