Wes' Exhortation to turn from the spirit of the age

I am so glad that the Lord gave Wes the holy guts to preach this. Getting rid of those secular things was one of the best things Jesus has done in my life. God is way more interesting than that profane stuff friends. Just take my word for it, give a try and just see what God will do in your life.

I needed to hear this. Wes' telling of the girl who sold her movies confirmed what the Spirit has been prompting me to do: cast off the weights by selling my large DVD collection of movies and TV shows. Not sinful stuff (e.g., '50s through '70s sitcoms), but a distraction and a tremendous waste of time and financial resources. I pray that God will reward my obedience by pulling down strongholds in my life as I dedicate more time and energy to knowing him better through Bible study and prayer.

Im "impressed" by this talk/sermon very diffrent to an lds church service! But a true message. We know, in our heads, that teachings and doctrins are right and true but to live it out is something different!

God had me come across this on purpose. In the churches I've been to, many think I am weird because I am so sensitive and don't do some things that are "normal" to them. I've been praying, but I let two boys go to God because I can't take their lewdness any longer. They don't realize that their actions say it is alright for Christians to act in such a manner, when it is not. Thank you. God is telling me to keep on going (being sensitive) and to not let anyone detour me from following Him.
