  • Who the hell does the fcc think they are? Do they seriously think we're too dumb to not know what they're doing? Why try to fix something that's not broken? There is nothing wrong wih the internet.

  • Everyone here needs to chill! This overhyped clown is powerless. In other words: He's just another moron in the obamby administration. he's a nobody...just like Hillary Clinton! He doesn't possess shit for power when it comes right down to it. The crybabies have been defeated and once again, decency is regaining it's rightful position. I am quite sure after the last year and a half of embarassing debauchery this coutry learned its lesson.

  • FCC chairman, Julius Genachowski talks alot, but says little.. what are these "rules" he keeps referring to? The government medles to much, and is assuming controls it shouldn't have.

  • @taverned

he's a fkn jew what do u expect? one more of the dozens of deceiptufl yids who scurry through the halls of the white house be-fouling our gr8 nation's govt.

my 3 part program for usa jews:

    1. beat

    2. sterilize

    3. expel

  • FCC chairman Julius Genachowski you are a piece of shit!!

  • Why are we not laughing them out of the building? We've had this explosive growth and improvement in our lives and gov't, whom was not an integral cog in that process, is going to maintain that trajectory? What track record do gov'ts have managing things? The internet is the single freest interaction we have and you're going to let this serpent undermine it?

  • 9:10 Networks are complicated; they do have to be managed."

Says you? There are a number of people highly educated who can give you sophisticated arguments debunking this fallacy. Free market economists like F.A. Hayek will tell you it is precisely because they are so complex why they *can't* be managed. Their existence owes itself to the collobarative and creative nature of the market. Gov't comes along afterwards, tries to tell us this situation will not do, and we need regulation.

  • Freedom needs no regulation; you can't "regulate" your way to freedom. Regulation itself is the absence of freedom.

I don't get why we even let this man opt to control us or not. Why are we even humoring him? Tell him to GTFO. This is classic gov't take over. They never break down the front door, guns blazing so everyone knows what's going on. They do it with the best of intentions and sweet rhetoric. People like Scuster45 below are just pawns of the State.

  • genachowski dodges every single question. jesus fucking christ

  • The FCC is out of date and not capable to keep up with the changes in technology.

  • Do not give your freedon of speech to this nerd.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

  • who asked these guys to govern the internet? internet is world wide.. I don't want these guys to know everything I'm doing

  • When you buy internet you are not buying the signals or frequency but the hardware that is required and matenence of that hardware to send and maintain the signal.

  • if that bullshit was true, why do we pay less for DSL lite and more for DSL Extreme???

    WHY?

  • They can give you both for the same price. They want money like any other person or company. The only Practicle reason to charge more is because if everyone had the fastest internet then you would actualy be slowed down when everyone is using the bandwith. By charging more for the high speed less bandwith is used and people are not mad when ther internet is going at a snails pace, when they are paying for the "Extreme."

  • Hopefully

  • If it stops being free, then we will get around it.

  • The internet should always be free

  • i agree, always free! :)
