I agree with Westcoastwazz, this version is not as good as Paul's. Then again, could be I feel that way because Mr. Mauriat's version sounds like the one I recall from when I was a child, & heard it on the movie "The War Lord". ;)

I understand your comment particulary with the "nostalgie" of your child time ! I have not this memory time, and I ''ve heard this version first, so I like it very much. the Westcoastwazz comment is realy not correct because "mediocre" is not a "taste" comment, it look like a quality comment. But just look and listen this is a live concert, great sound and musicians play very good, great performence. What a brilliant idea to make this piano phrase instade of the 12 strings guitar !!!!! anyway...

This is really mediocre. While Paul Mauriat's version runs on a highly tuned V8, this version is limping along on 4 cylinders. It's missing so much.
