Nope, that happened on the same day, that friday. This takeoff shown in this video was for the flyby with the red arrows. Some hours later that day they flew their real display and that was when the accident took place.

I was there and I remember very well. Nr. 6 had to land and change to Hornett Nr. 7 and the other 5 planes had to remain in the air for at least 40 minutes.
