Murray Head sang this song in the musical ´Chess´, written by (see waterspout8).
He plays the american ´Freddy´, Elaine Paige ´Florence´ and Tommy Körberg the russian ´Anatolij´.
It was on the charts 1984.

This is a cool montage, but Pet Shop Boys weren't involved in this song - It was written by the two ABBA guys, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, with Tim Rice on lyrics.

Wow, really? I was unaware of that...I researched the song, and have listened to it a number of times (on the radio) and it was always stated that is was Murray Head and the Pet Shop Boys that played it. It is to my understanding this song has been remixed by several other groups. Thank you for sharing your information, it is always good to learn something new. Have a wonderful day my friend.

@waterspout8 Pet Shop Boys did help make this song. That is why they are given credit on the radio for it. Please make sure your facts are correct before making comments.

@BriansDisneyGal Hi. My facts are 100% correct. I recommend this site Pet Shop Boys Song-by-Song Commentary which contains a PSB Lists section which has a list of songs wrongly assumed to have Pet Shop Boys involvement including "Bangkok."
