I can recognize the Twist and Shout from many visits there. It was the first floor of a two-floor American Legion Hall on Auburn Ave., Bethesda, MD. Fabulous small venue for the biggest names in cajun/zydeco - the Bayou Potomac! Sadly, had to close because the American Legion liquor license wasn't valid for Twist and Shout sales. Management reopened for a few years at Tornado Alley in Wheaton, MD. Miss them both.
