@TripleR3D Capcom themselves said it wasn't the same thing. Having most of Tri's Monsters and equipment doesn't make it the same. That's saying that Frontier is MH1. MHP3 and MHF have past monsters and equipment (many of which in MHP3 were NOT in Tri), but new things as well.

@allaboom12 No, it won't be on PSP. A major reason for it being on the Wii is that the online play on the PSP was an expensive hassle that never worked as well as Capcom wanted it to. Being on the Wii, online play is more possible and reliable. As for how you connect the PSP, Google it, but I know it requires you buy some hardware and install a few programs.

I think its better this way..i mean Monster Hunter being on a console.graphics are so much outstanding than in a portable and it holds more information,even if MH2ndG had more monsters(which most were still the same thing)

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is coming (like slashr101 said) end of 2010, and frontier is i believe the PC installment of the franchise. but i was pretty bummed when they brought this to wii instead of ps3 because they stuck with sony throughout almost 10 years now. but, it was a wise choice for them because the wii is out selling the ps3/360. sucks for us, but big business for them xD

hopefully they eventually bring one out on the ps3.. it'd be amazing with the graphics and the ps controller
