  • This makes perfect sense. When you decide that 145 is optimum then build a fixed length crank at 145. This will also benefit with smaller/lighter sprockets to keep the same ratio with the shorter crank. I also think there is added benefit with the smaller crank and gears showing less frontal area for aerodynamics. This won't happen with the adjustable crank but if you go fixed it will.
