Sword can be said different ways, katana, ken or yaiba. But they wield all a type of sword called Zanpakutou (soul slayer). And lastly shinigami, shini is another way of saying death and gami is a another way of saying god, so it's death god.

Your not getting the point that he used an all destroying move:Getsuga Tensho+some raw hollow power. And Zangetsus bankai is all about speed if he would have dodged the move a quick getsuga tensho from him would rip anyone. I still don't get your point. Ichigo and his hollow together are stronger than Zangetsu. Zangetsu's speed is no greater than Bankai Ichigo's. Zangetsu's Getsuga Tensho is no better than Ichigo's (without the hollow in the equation). It would not "rip anyone" especially not an espada with decent heirro.
