He will sing forever, in our hearts and memories. If you haven't had the opportunity yo hear it, listen to him singing "On My Way To You". I "fell in love" with this angelic voice and beautiful spirit 50 yrs ago at the age of 12. I had not heard that until this year. It may be one of the most beautiful pieces I have heard, (it's also by Michael Legrand and Alan and Marilyn Bergman. Let me know what you think. God Bless

This is one of my all-time favorite Johnny songs. They don't get any more beautiful than this. The words are so meaningful, and Johnny delivers them with so much depth, they go straight to your heart. No one on earth sings anywhere close to Johnny Mathis, he's in a class all  by himself. Look forward to seeing him again in February 2011, have seen him many, many times, and he's always no less than perfect.

just watch Mathis at about 4:05-4:14.....when he just holds the thought of the song....i watched him do this in concert, and it was always such a stunning moment, by a master who understands silence as well as the big notes.....

Johnny Mathis is such a sweetheart and a real treasure. I love to hear him sing this song, he can sing it accompanied with a full orchestra like here or with just a piano, where his voice control and talent can be heard. I wish he could sing forever. Thanks for sharing this, it's one of the best live performance to be uploaded to youtube.
