  • congrats to layton

im so happy for you guys

tripp is so cute shhing you lol

  • @al3xandr1a12345678 Thank you!! Haha, yea he's silly!

  • My parents said I started using the potty when I was 10 months :O :)

  • Lora...I always enjoy your vlogs so much! You are so right not to push the potty training thing with Tripp! Just ignore the people who keep bringing it up. Besides the fact that he is not showing any physical or cognitive signs of being ready, trying to potty train him right before you bring a new baby into his world would be pointless. Btw...you look fantastic and it's wonderful that you're feeling so good! As always, Tripp couldn't be more adorable! : )

  • i love how when yo talk to him or ask him wat hes doing he looks at the camera and smiles like he knows people are watching him through there... too cute, and i didnt have a chance to say it before so congrats to u guys on layton's new job!

  • @tlktvprincess He's a ham! lol

  • OH my gosh Tripp is so cute giving your belly a kiss...hes even cute picking his nose lol! It was cracking me up :)

  • Hi Lora, does Tripp still have his dummy for bedtime?

and if not ,was it difficult to get him off it?

i am asking because my little girl is 16 months old and she has one for bedtime.

What age do you think is best to take dummy away?

    Thanks.

  • @m15vbc We actually JUST took away his night time binky last week! We cut the very tips of the nipples off and that made him not want to suck on it anymore. It was a little rough during nap times for about a week. He had a hard time napping, but would go to bed great at night time. I think the max age a baby should have a binky is 2, but that's just my opinion!

  • It is amazing how similar our story is... My husband and I met and started dating when I was 17. I was 19, he was 23 when we got married. Shortly after getting married we moved to Florida to help with a family business and got burned to say it mildly. He just started a new career a few months ago with a great company. We don’t have any children yet but we would like to start trying in the next year if we can swing it financially!

  • my boy is 2 1/2 and he will not pee anywhere else but his diaper i have tried everything it gets to me when people keep asking me i mean he pees every 30 min and if i train him i would have to take him every 30 min thats crazy people just dont understand finally THANK YOU! and congrats on the new job!

  • so true they will not go potty by themselves until they are ready - i have seen it with all the kids in my daycare.

  • your having another baby!! congrats! and yeah were struggliing in economy but lukily our bank is working with us so we dont have to leave the house!! im so greatful! anyways i adore your videos!!! tripp is getting so bigg!! hes so cute!! does he understand about the baby coming yet or can he not talk yet.. :) im rlly happy for you guys :DDD

  • @juicystarsuperfan He doesn't really understand that he's gonna have a baby brother. He just knows that I have a big belly lol

  • I've been reading up on potty training too (although its probably 18 months away for us). Kids used to get started potty training much earlier before the advent of pampers and cloth diapering was made so easy, but that was out of necessity, and guess what? The babies weren't drier any quicker back then than they are now. What does this teach us? Children won't learn it until their ready. So you stick to your guns!!:))

  • @xoxazurixox Exactly :o) Haha I will!

  • I was going to start Ella with pottytraining at 18 months but she is just shy of 16 months and is already showing signs she is ready. She follows me into the bathroom and has a fascination with the bathroom. She also pulls her pants down. We have not bought a potty yet but will soon. It would be nice if she was pottytrained by 2 1/2 because the daycare rates would go down dramatically but when it happens it happens. I am not sure she is cognitively ready though

  • I think you exactly on what your talking about with potty training. My son just turned 3 and he is STILL not FULLY potty trained, i mean he will go like 90% of the day, but still wake up wet.. My daughter was potty trained fully at 2 1/2. but every kid is different. And who cares about two kids in diapers? I never really understood what the big deal with that was? lol

  • @MelB0610 It's not a big deal lol! I don't know why ppl try to make it seem like it is. You're right, all kids are different. Why try and rush it!?

  • i totalllly agree w potty training thing!!!!

  • I love how you said 'we potty train when he is ready'!! I agree!

  • Isaac still isn't potty trained and he's almost 3. I am not pushing him. It's not worth it to make them miserable if they just aren't ready.

  • @sterlingwalters Exactly. They'll let us know when they're ready. The average age is closer to 3 anyways! Why rush it!?

  • your hair is so shiny!! how do you keep it so healthy!! ??? do a video on it PLEASE!!!!!!

  • @mariahemmett There's nothing to do a video on lol! I use Treseme shampoo and conditioner and take vitamins. I don't do anything special lol

  • Good for you for standing your ground on the potty training thing. I love how people have their opinions about how you are supposed to raise your kids... grrr to them !!

  • @Parkerfur Thank you! Yea, it irritates me that ppl feel the need to tell me how to raise my kid or make me feel like I need to rush him through mile stones. I'm pretty sure he's doing fine in life :o) lol

  • @Loraandlayton I get so mad when you have to defend yourself on stuff!! Not at you of course!!! But at the crazies that want to bitch about potty training or washed produce. LOL My kids HAVE eaten some unwashed produce at some point I'm SURE.... and guess what??? They are ALIVE! Maybe I should start making videos of my kids doing taboo "no-no's" just to get riled up... that could be fun! Congrats again on Layton's job. He's not just "The Man", he's "The LandMAN" :)

  • you should do a question and answer video :D loraaaa i love all your videos <3

  • I love your updates! I wish I would do mine. Congrats on the job. It always helps when the hubs is doing something he loves! Having two in diapers isn't that bad. I have pretty much always had two in them. I just lay them down at the same time and change them just for times sake. My son is almost 3 and he still has no desire to potty train. I figured I would just wait until school starts and I have more one on one time and see where it goes. They all go eventually. Can't wait to see Declan!

  • that's awesome! congrats to layton!!!

  • oh noez...you're going to have TWO kids in diapersss...how will you ever survive?! HAHA. i swear i love you. you make me laugh so hard :) people on youtube are so funny. congrats to layton on his job!

  • @splinterofh0pe Thank you!! Haha ppl are so funny. I think certain ppl are just annoying because they want me to worry or be upset. I'm perfectly fine with two in diapers lol

  • Aww Congrats to you and your family on Laytons job that is so great!! and dont even think twice about peoples comments or questions about when Tripp will be toilet trained, I didn't toilet train any of my kids till they were nearly 3 and because they were ready by then it was a really quick process and none of them ever have any problems or accidents and OMG Tripp is just the cutest little man you must be so proud :)

  • @hanacrawford Thanks!! I am so proud. He's a hand-full but he's sweet :o) He's a good boy!

  • thats awesome news congrats you guys!!

  • @kookaiiz Thank you :o)

  • I am SO, SO, SO, SO EXCITED to see videos of you guys with Nikki, Jon & Leah! Can't wait. Yay! :)

  • You're the best Lora! You are so amazing with keeping up with Vlogging! I love hearing all of your news :)

  • @ganrella7908 Aww thanks! That's so nice :o)

  • That is so awesome! I'm really happy for you guys!! :o)

  • i watched the moment at 7:56-7:58 exactly 6 times cuz the expression u put their is jus priceless.ur smile is so lively.....it's like " look at my TRIPP, HE'S SO SO CUTE AND I AM SO VERY PROUD OF HIM"..................TRIPP IS THE CUTEST BABY EVERRRRRRR.. :)..

  • @beatthis15 lol he's silly!

  • kids will potty train when they are ready lora .. your right some how or way trippy

will give you a sign when he ready ... brody was 3 and i also had two babies in nappys at the same time and it wasnt so bad .. we had our own little routine and once declan is here you will also get your own little routine babe .. brody sign for me that he was ready to be trained was he took off his own nappy and sat on his potty by himself ..lol (he was 3) .. so i am sure trippy will let you guys know too

  • @mrssammymartin Haha that's cute :o) Yea, I know he'll let me know when he's ready. And since the average child isn't potty trained until closer to 3, I'm not worried and I'm in NO rush. He just turned one and a half. Ppl need to chill out lol!

  • congrations to you both lora, your job sounded so interesting also, even though you prob dont need to now, do you ever planning on going back to it one day after declans born? Poodah is soooooooooooo damn cute! xx

  • @LauraBellaX I don't have plans to go back to work, but you never know. Maybe once both boys are in school I might. But until then, I think I want to just stay home with them.

  • You are SO right about there being no point in potty training unless they're ready. Basically, you could start now. You could put him on the potty every 20 minutes or so, and see if he happens to go. But he won't get it, and you're spending so much time doing it. Plus, you're risking him getting bored with the whole idea if you get pushy. You could spend 6+ months doing that. 0R, you can simply wait until he's ready and training might take a couple of months.

  • @garciajennifer223 Exactly. When he's ready, he'll let me know. He loves to sit on his potty, he just doesn't know how to use it. I don't want to make it so that he hates his potty b4 he's even ready to potty train lol

  • congrats on the new job! you guys are soo lucky! be greatful! my bf and i are your age and arent nearly as stable as you are!...i hope we get there soon thoo!

  • lol tripps trying to tell you not to talk about his secret bathroom business on YT.

    shhh mummy lol

  • @lucytune80 Yes he is lol!

  • Wow, that's so awesome that Layton got the job without the degree. Just goes to show that if you want something bad enough, you'll get it. =D And you're such a great mother. ;o)

  • Congratulations Layton......well done!

  • @Petro48 He thanks you!

  • Thanks for the update! Congrats again on Laytons new job. So excited for you guys!!

  • Congrats again on the job, I totally agree with your potty training theory, and the 2 kids in diapers thing. As always Tripp is so adorable :O)

  • @claudia62782 Thanks :o) Yea, 2 babies in diapers is not that big of a deal. I think I'll manage lol

  • Potty training Tripp already!? What the heck! People need to relax he's only 19 months old! I can just see Tripp going around the house when Declan is sleeping and going "Shhhhh" Haha he is such a great kid!

  • @SelenaXoxo77 I know! Ppl are always trying to rush him to grow up. He's barely one and a half!!

  • Congrats again on Layton's new job!! That's so exciting :) Also, I agree with you on potty training - do it when he's ready!! :)

  • Congratulations to your family!!! That is the best news just before having a new baby, what a relief :) Off topic, but my daughter is saying hi, hi, hi, hi and keeps trying to grab you on the screen lol!

  • @AmyLizz Haha that is sooo cute!!

  • There are kids at th preschool I work at that has kids that are still in diapers at 3 and a half. Lora you are so smart and educated about potty training, you obviously know what your talking about. Such a good mommy! :)

  • @TheMissJess13 Aww thank you!!

  • I think holding off with the potty training is a good idea too! My daughter was 2 when she was fully trained and she was classed as early over here. Boys usually take a little bit longer too.

  • Completely agree with you, they know themselves. My friend when she was two said to her mom "mommy, i don't wanna wear diapers any more" haha!! congrats on layton's new job! xx

  • Congrats to Layton. Tripp doesn't need to worry about potty training yet, me and little brother got it my sister seemed like she took all day compared to us.YAY! for Leah,Nikki, and Jon coming. it awesome you guys get to finale meet.

  • @VintagexGlam07 Thank you! We can't wait for them to visit. It's gonna be so fun!

  • my son is almost 3 in november and still is not ready:) i hate when people ask me why hes not potty trained or whatever yet im like IM THE ONE WHO CHANGES HIS DIAPERS not you! lol :)

  • @milfndilf2007 Exactly!! So mind your own business! lol

  • Congratulations on the new job!! I wonder, if it's the same kind of work like the people researching the oil spill claims over here? I'm so glad ya'll are happy with it. I know how you feel about wanting to get out of the house! You can only speak the baby language for so long lol!

  • Wooooohhh!! Tx is awsum..Houston Yay!!

  • Comment removed

  • i live in texas yay for texas lol r u still in texas

  • @jamilarabie Yep

  • that book is the best ever

  • you are working! you got youtube ;)

  • @didilago Haha that's true, but I don't consider it work! Just a hobby I get paid for lol

  • Odd question for you...

I have just started making VLOGS... Do you feel odd talking to a camera? I find it hard to not be nervous

  • @rachelswirl No, I'm so used to it now lol! I've been doing it for like 2 years. At first I felt a little weird, but I got over it. Now it's just fun to vlog! It'll get easier. Just try to relax and have fun :o)

  • Oh wow! I can't believe you're already 8 months preggo! Time goes by so fast! =)

  • I completely agree with you on the potty training! I started trying to potty train my son and about 2 1/2 and he showed no interest in it at all. I even made a potty chart where he got a sticker every time he went in the potty but he didn't seem to care. Finally at 3 1/2 he just got up and wanted to use the potty and only had maybe 3 accidents. It's all about when they are ready not when the parents are ready.

PS congrats on Layton's job that's so exciting!! :)

  • Awesome!!! That is so great about Layton's new job! I have a old friend who just had a baby and named her son Leighton. I almost asked her if she got the name from you.. haha then I remembered not everyone watches you guys. OH Tripp and potty training well my son wasn't ready at that age either. If he isn't intrested then it won't happen. You are right he will do it when he is ready. My son older and everyone nagged me for it..

  • That is adorable when he was saying, "shhhhh"! He is just so freakin' cute, Lora!

  • Tripp is so so SO cute!! And congrats on Laytons job!

  • @Carly0826 Thank you!!

  • You are SO right about waiting. My daughter is 3 1/2 and I tried to do it too early and now she wants nothing to do with it.... AT ALL! I had 2 boys potty traned by the time they were 2 and a little stubborn girl that will be 4 in Dec and is quite content being in diapers.......*sigh*

  • @candsbroadway Haha! When they're ready, they're ready!

  • :) ONE WEEEEEEEEKKKK AND I WILL BE AT YOUR CASA SNUGGLING MY FUTURE SON IN LAW AND YOU OF COURSE! If Layton plays his cards right he may be able to get a little bit of snuggling too. Jon spoons really well :) Hahahh love you guys so much!

  • @mamatrixxie Layton is SO excited now!! lol Love y'all!!

  • Oh my goodness 2 kids in diapers is not a big deal. I almost had three in diapers. But got lucky to get my three year old potty traned befor I had my next baby. You are so cute and Tripp is so sweet. Luv ya. Linda

  • Great update video! Loved it!

  • So happy for you guys. =) Again congrats on the job. <3

  • @shleylee Thank you :o)

  • I love how Tripp is doing circles around you.

  • OMG I have Harold books and what not!! I loved them! :)

  • @MorticiaAddams13 They were my favorite growing up!

  • @Loraandlayton

I kno it still have them around the house somewhere! :D

  • Great video! Sooo soo happy for Layton! Congrats to you guys! :D Changing a diaper is a part of parenthood! LOL! People are such retards! You look great! Tripp is sooo cute...shhhhhh!! haha!! :D Sooo excited Nikki & Jon are coming to visit! Tripp gets to meet his girlfriend yay!! :D

  • @mina247 Aww thanks! Yea, diapers aren't a big deal. I don't get why ppl try to make it seem so awful lol!

  • The little boy I nanny for just turned 3 and we just got him potty trained. Tripp will let you know when he's ready :)

  • @Kaylandsky Exactly :o)

  • Yeah there was this mom @ our daycare who tried to potty train her daughter at 14 months... :/ LOL it didnt work...

So when he stops doing all the things he does that show he's not ready, then you'll start?

Can I have the link to your internet's bf channel please :) ? lol

  • Congrats on Layton's new job, that's so cool he can finally do what he's always wanted! Not many people can say that. Tripp's shushing had me cracking up, so cute. I don't see anything wrong with waiting to potty train him, makes sense to me... some people get too anxious I think. Great video!

  • my daughter couldn't use the potty till right before she turned 3. This was mostly due to the fact she couldn't get up there even with a stool. We are short people lol

  • @misskrystle12 lol! Well that's totally normal! I just feel like ppl are trying to rush me to potty train Tripp and there's no reason for it.

  • Congrats! On Layton's new job that is AWESOME! That you can stay home with Trippe. I also agree with you on the potty training. About waiting till he is interested, and ready! :)

  • @veronicahails Yea, the last thing I want to do is to try and rush him!

  • I love you Lora Love !! Joey was trained just before the age of 3 and we just waited till he was ready and when he was it was pretty easy !!! So your totally doing the right thing !!! MUAH

  • @CrazyCoolShorty I think so too :o) Thanks Dani! Most kids aren't potty trained until close to 3, so that's normal. I hate that ppl are trying to get me to rush him to potty train. I want him to have a good experience with it and not feel frustrated and confused.

  • Exactly .. One thing too is if you potty train TOO early .. the child with regress and will start making a lot of accidents .. So when TrippE is ready you will know and i am sure it will go smoothly .. MUAH

  • LOL at Tripp! He always makes me laugh :) I can't believe Declan will be here soon!

I love Nikki's Videos! Are you going to video when Nikki comes? I think you guys would be so funny to watch!

  • @MsSunnyDisposition Of course we are! We film everything lol!

  • Haha "Tripps future wife." Do you know what I hate about your videos, the part when it ends... I just hate it. lol

  • @loraandlaytonsfan Me toooo. I could watch videos about them all day. such a great family and very interesting. hate when the videos end lol

  • @LVG4GOD Aww thanks so much! Y'all are so sweet :o)

  • @loraandlaytonsfan Ha Ha...nicely put...Me too...

  • I ordered a couple of cloth potty training pants. They are like diapers, but the material on the inside allows for toddler to feel the wetness, whereas diapers wick away the moisture and babies never get the opportunity to think "what is this feeling". I think it is a good stepping stone to see if DS has any sort of reaction to those. My DH was potty trained in India and he never wore a diaper. He was potty trained by 9 months...so he is pushing me to get my 15mo out of dipes and in undies!

  • i have a question and i was thinking about this for a while i saw one of your tweets saying you loved degrassi and i was watching it last night and that guy on there is names declan is that how you got duckies name or have you always wanted to name your 2nd son that?

  • @shelby9109 No we didn't name him after a Degrassi character or after the movie Leap Year. It's an Irish name that we always knew we wanted to use.

  • tripp is so freakin hilarious. I love him.

  • @GabrielnEllaJanay Haha, me too!

  • Send some of that good luck over here please!! lol My husband's job sucks! It was fine until they started taking away all of his overtime. The pay is great, he just needs more hours. His job does give overtime until after 50 hours! Booo! lol.....Yeah, I definitely wouldn't potty train until Tripp is ready. We tried potty training our daughter several times and she would lose interest. She was still wearing a diaper on her 3rd birthday!! lol

  • @skylerzmom I will send some good luck dust that way!!

  • Oh and randomly met a great friend of mine who I may be a surrogate for in a year or two in person for the first time at her wedding! It was a tad strange but amazing after getting so close online! Enjoy it.

  • Tripp is so cute ! so excited about baby declan, cant wait to see him grow up like Tripp :-~) x

  • @helenjewell I can't wait either!!

  • Far the best way I believe. Many may disagree but until mine started to realise they were going to wee I didn't worry and they were both potty trained under the age of 3. (without looking in the baby books I have no idea offhand... what a bad mummy i am! lol) No wet beds etc and having 2 in nappies wasn't a problem.
