@kokonutbaby1 Hello Kokonutbaby, projects like this would typically start at about 6K for professional installation. If you use an efficient pump the electric will not be that high, amybe around 20.00 month. Now that this project is mature the waterfall looks even better! thanks for watching and visit me on facebook!
Really well done. Looks fantastic. Like your rock selection for the project. Did you fold the liner back over part of the basin at the bottom to conceal the size of the hole that was dug? There was one shot in the video of the bottom and it looked slightly smaller and disguised very well. Very natural looking. Any tips you have on that aspect of the job would be appreciated. Thanks.
@SoperWaterGardens Hi thanks for the comment and checking out the video. Yes, on many pondless waterfall projects I will fold the liner over to reduce the footprint of the waterfall basin and filter area. I always try to use an oversize piece of liner to allow me to use that technique. take care -PH
@Benefold1979 good luck with the build. I am glad this gave some inspiration. Send me some pictures of your project, I'd love to see it! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@thePondHunter Thanks! I ordered a kit online. It has a 31" weir, 10 x 30 liner, 4000GPH pump, etc. Do you think I should order some of those matrix cubes? If so, how many for a system that large? I noticed you used 4 for this system.
@Benefold1979 Hey Bene, thanks for checking out the videos and commenting. Yes, I do think that you should use some matrix cubes, they will help you keep more water in your system, and that will give you better water quality and less maintenance. The quantity of matrix cubes is up to you, the more the better. 4-6 may do well for your system. thanks again!
hi.. do you have an idea on how to seal a glass on a cement? i mean.. what sealant should i use.. im building a pond and that's my only problem.. thanks.. :)
Hi! my mom is letting me have a "pond". We have this huge 30gallon pot that is waterproof and safe...it was my grandma's pot. It has a small hole in the bottom used to drain the water.. do you have any advice on what i can use to seal it?. the hole is around 5cm in diameter. We are planning to put 2 goldfish and a lillypad...i am also going to make a homemade filter since i live in the philippines and buying good filters are expensive.
@myponyandme Hey Pony, nice job on creating your own pond and filter system! to seal up the bottom you can use some silicone or a rubber plug that can fill the hole water tight. I had a "pond" very similar to what you are setting up many years ago and I loved it!!. I hope to hear from you again, thanks for watching and commenting! -PH
Who draws up the plans for how many twists and turns to the stream? Who decides how big and what shapes the rocks are going to be in? Do you personally place each rock? Will you marry me? lol
@paulasmits Hi Paula, thanks for checking out the videos and commenting. I create the plan for the twists and turns, I pick the rocks and the shapes, and if I do not personally place the rocks, I do say exactly where and how they go. There is a good side and a bad side to every rock. If I marry you my wife will kill me! she's my pond princess!
Man what a nice flat area, with a great Japanese maple, that would be a primer place for a koi pond... but you got to give the customer what they want. =)
I have been looking at water falls a lot lately because I am about to redo my koi pond and I want a water fall that I can see from the house. Great job I like it alot.
nice. Wonder what king of flora would you recommend around this kind of water feature?

So how much did a project like this one cost? And does running it make your electric bill really high? Very nice looking waterfall.
