Is this a remake of the 1981 movie with the same title? Although that movie is said to be about an experiment in 1967. Is this a different school where the experiment was repeated two years later?

@KingNetherdrake As I understand it, it is almost an exact remake with the only exception being it takes place in a German setting with German characters, instead of California. Otherwise, from the descriptions I've read, it has the exact same plot as the '81 movie.

We watched this version in my history class (I was the only person who saw the original). We skipped over large portions of it because we didn't have enough time to watch it all, so our teacher just showed us enough for us to get the basic concept of it. From what I saw it is A LOT better than the original.
