Oh man I know exactly how this guy feels. I was flying the same ship and close to the same build when I got podded. I couldn't get away because I was too close to an asteroid and couldn't get up to pre-warp speed. :(

next time engage someone that looks like bait fly a fast ship point at 20 km and wait to see if you get jumped if you do simply warp away......

ok to get ur pod out plz listen lol =] before ur ship goes down make sure its BEFORE you gotta click a planet, station, belt or w/e and spam warp as much as u can before u go down so when ur pod comes out its near impossible to lock up...its like tryin to lock a shuttle at a gate

Sorry buddy, but I was laughing through most of that video. The grief in your voice... losing your first ship like that.. everyone goes through it one way or another. For me it was just a 2mil Rifter at maybe two weeks old.. but back then, that was a big deal. Now there's nothing funnier to me than making people feel like that when they lose their... Tengu's.... to a frigate gang. ;)

Loving your vids man. I'm probably getting through the entire eve series in one sitting. I just got the trial version of this game a few days ago, and it's intriguing to me.

But when you got podded there, for a second, it sounded like you were gonna start crying hehe.

But that's what worries me about PVP, and the death penalty in general. it's pretty damn steep in this game.

yah there was alot of stuff u did wrong that everyone does, like getting your drones out as u lock, u should of got closer to the pilgrim and not ready to warp right as u get podded like the guy said at 8:08

Also, I'm not sure but it looked like you had over 4 bil in your wallet when you moused over it. If that's true then why were you upset about losing 200 mil in ship and implants?

I wasn't there in that group but I often fly with that group of people doing exactly what happened to you in the video. It's good not to take it personally because we do this daily, but even us regular pvp'ers make mistakes from time to time. The other day I was podded because I got up to use the bathroom after warping my pod to the wh to make a trip to jita. (was also slightly drunk) Anyway, you at least did gain something from this and that is knowledge to make you better in the future.

@vitallycool Yea, my biggest loss was a Raven. 101 million ISK :\ But that is just a standard Lvl4 mission fit :D Lost it to a cane, me and 2 friends knew it was the classic pirate trick where they take the wreck and you agress. But it was a Vigil, switched into a cane with an Orca that warped in, we couldn't do much about it since a logistics was repping him. :P Total ship loss: Raven, Navy Raven, and the Maelstrom was bailed from and stolen... still sad how we lost a CNR to that thing... ._.

Other than that though I appreciate you posting the video, I've yet to experience PvP in this game and seeing it happen and listening to the discussion on what happened helped a lot.

Just an advice... when you realize that's going to lose ur ship prepare the warp before ur ship get destroyed then when u explode do the warp. This is faster and u don't lose ur pod.

@ALIENKINGX7 Purposely had drones turn on in my main overview because I didn't think it would be a problem since there were only going to be 3 or 4 ships in combat. Turns out there were more and I was wrong. Definitely won't be making that mistake ever again.

@cammobus I suppose if enough melted nanoribbons drop. The wormhole I'm usually in is pretty small though and doesn't often have many sites open. Honestly though, even now, I'm still making more money on PI.

@rollaznv1 I'd never lost a ship over 30mil before and never been podded. The week after this video, I lost a pilgrim and was also podded, so it was much worse. And still, 200m isn't something I can make back in just a few days. Thats a weeks work down the drain. Still enough to piss me off.

I lost a 1.7bil ship last week. Couldn't get myself to log on for 3 days after.

But now I'm back and ready more than ever :-)

Dont get flustrated about a ship lost :)

Ofc you should care about your ship and so on but loosing a ship is a part of this game.

Best thing you can do is to learn from your mistakes and not to repeat them.

@MatsudairaTakuma Lol, yeah I know.  The DCU and Armor was due to panic. As far as the missing boosters, the ship wasn't ready when we begin to engage. I actually had to put on the T2 guns because I was still constructing the ship. I had just moved out to the hole a few days before the video. Well, I got the guns on there and the ammo, but in trying to make haste and get to the fight, I didn't think of the cap boosters. Learned the hard way.

Those were some friends of mine shooting you up. Don't take it hard. They have been hunting a long time. Suggestion, not only check the system outside. You might check gates coming into the system as well. Fleets can sit out of system and jump in, warp to the hole on a cloaker sitting there waiting and then bounce you with very little warning. Nice video. Keep it up! I have a vid up of another wormhole attack you might like. I posted a wormhole attack you can look at of several of the same pilot

I never watch these lets play things .but a bud was talking about this vid .. so i checed it out . I liked it so much i went and watched 1-18. U seem like u have a good idea of the game but as u are finding u can never learn it all. U make mistakes but u learn from them i will not point any out. keep it up your on the right track :) the ruch of EvE never goes away it changes wait till u field a fully faction fit ship in PvP u will love it .. then losse it it's part of the game :)

You see, this is a tutorial in a way because you were talking afterward about what you would have done etc. This is exactly what my corp does, we're a WH corp that has learned how to defend ourselves.

Don't stop doing what you do because of one loss. We only learn from our mistakes right?

This video will just help others in their efforts against the massive blob that they're about to get jumped by. lol :)

Eve Onlines PvP is the only one of the more then a dozen MMO's i've played that literally triggers the fight or flight response and pours a lake of adrenaline into your bloodstream. It's the substantial financial losses you can incur with a loss and the substantial psychological rewards you can gain with a win that far exceeds any other widely played MMO.

It's funny how panicked you got during the fight. It's funny because I used to get the same way when I wasn't used to much pvp action. ;)

btw, to avoid getting podded, if there aren't any bubbles up, select a planet and align out and spam warp.

Personally, I have the system sun on my overview so I can just click on my overview to align out.
