  • I love Pete Rock . This is real rap music .

  • almost shed a tear for those who dont know how hip hop supposed to be

  • The best song ever possibly

  • @gduphamster best album..old school new school or otherwise!

  • T.R.O.Y. DAVIS.

  • We will reminisce over T.R.O.Y. Davis

  • NBA Street. Thats the only thing I remember this from.

  • Street ball game or something and madden 12

  • Most definitely my favorite hip-hop song of all time. Bar none, no doubt.

  • this song is in madden 12 #winning

  • just straight up, pure hip hop.

  • I remember

  • Best sax sample iv'e ever heard.

  • This is a very beautiful song!

  • this takes me way back to...wait a minute, i was born the year this song came out but it makes me feel like an old schooler

  • why is there even a dislike button on this song?

  • NBA Street Vol.2 FTW!!!

  • @xbox360fanatics What does "FTW" mean?

  • @pimps1986 for the win.

  • @mike7743 Thanks, man!

  • its only showing my views? 0.o (:

  • thanx for posting i wonder why they only used the instrumental for nba street 2?

  • man..and the sad part is BET pays no respect to those that paved the way...shit not even fuckin rap city does ole school wednesday no more..shit is damn depressin..

  • haha no way reeally?I remember that shit.

  • Hip hop isn't what it used to be.

  • Had this cassette, yeah I said cassette, the last year of high school. Played the entire thing end to end to death. This is when it was real.

  • this is real shit, the beat is amazing

  • This might be the greatest song ever created across any genre. Early 90's Hip Hop was the realest form of art, this song stamps the periode along with songs like Wu-Tang C.R.E.A.M. Common - I Used To Love Her Ice Cube - It Was A Good Day Nas - The World Is Yours Slick Rick - Runaway Eric B & Rakim - What's On Your Mind Raekwon - Heaven & Hell Biggie - Juicy Pac - Keep Your Head Up Scarface - I Seen A Man Die Gang Starr - Mass Appeal Shit man.. Hip Hop was the truth back then One Love
  • dis hip hop but come on hip hop always gon upgrade hiphop cant stay the same 4 ever

  • ive been trying to find this song. thanx for posting this video mike7743.

  • I agree that hip-hop crosses all racial barriers but at the same time if you are a white hip-hop head, you should never say that race doesn't matter. Our experience of hip-hop culture is much different than someone that lives their life as a black man or woman.

  • This song is beautiful it almost brings tears to my eyes.

  • some of my best times young were spent twistin up burnin or crackin a dutch or a forty cap good ass fuckin times brings me back

  • thats hiphop..

  • "When they reminisce over you, my God"..

  • RIP T-Roy which this song is dedicated to Rest in paradise

    Blackmac

  • Man this song makes me reminisce of playing NBA Street Vol.2. I think that game had one of the top video game soundtracks ever. It had T.R.O.Y, Cheif Rocka, Black Sheep, Dilated Peoples,etc-Real Hip Hop at its finest. I'm about to go dust off the PS2 and play that game. Peace

  • AHHH MY JAM YEAAA CLASSIC NUFF SAID fuck 5 stars AINT NO AMOUNT OF STARS TO RATE THIS. MY SONG JAM WUTEVA YEA

  • this is so a new york beat, pete rock 4ever

  • hip hop never dies out. we know it dies out when we die what i mean is when we start to act like dumb asses thats when hip hop is dead.

  • and by acting like dumb asses you mean allowign wayne to sell a million first week,

soulja boy gettin a contract, tpain bein a top artist alogn with akon...

  • This is a beautiful beat. even though its still kinda rough, its a great beat. reminds me of I used to Love H.E.R by Common

  • Who did they sample the trumpet from?

I heared on the boondocks last night and I remembered this song

  • It was from the song Today by Tom Scott.

  • no rapper with da name lil in it isn't as good as this

  • you forgot about lil fame LOL

  • ill song!

  • il 18 years the girl of drama i hate the naked lady pic

  • hip hop is definitely dead, I was reading that vibe with Plies on the cover...he is one of the most ifnorant people I have ever known of, and they said that coon was the future of hip hop...sad....

  • Hip-hop isn't dead! IDIOT!

it's people like Common and Lupe Fiasco who kept it alive and i thank them a world without hip-hop then all these immature children and teen will cause 100X more chaos.

one of my brothers said Rap makes you stuiped to make you stay where you are now and thats very true!

i know a boy who is so stuiped and immature he is causing me to just conflict violence with him but lucky i'm man enough to hold my temper in these days before no messed with me and they still don't

  • HIP-HOP today is dead. some of the rappers today are making money off of some bullshit..... but people like lil' wayne are good rappers. but hip-hop will NEVER be as good as it was back in the 90's

  • Piece of reality combo with knowledge

    Top upload *****

  • this song is the definition of true hip hop

  • Just like NAS said Hip-Hop is dead just listen to da Chet THEY call Hip- Hop now days, theres no comparsion every body is bitt'n off each other.Bring back da classic PLEASE.

  • very good song but sad. this is true hip hop i wish i could hear this kind of music these days

  • This doesn't define hip hop. This defines MUSIC full stop

Doesn't get much better than this

  • better than lil wayne

  • well duh? This is from the golden era of HipHop

  • It's blasphemy to even bring that midgets name out on this page.

  • I agree. this is the essence of the golden era of hip-hop. lyrics about real-life and not about making it rain and bling. let's not even mention the beat

  • sorry i have sinned father

  • this is better than lil wayne anyday

  • a good thing about this song is in the backround you dont hear a milli

  • hahhahhhahahhaha rofl

  • its about troy (2 kobeownzu81

  • One of the best hip-hop tracks ever made.

  • Man...back when soul meant something.

  • man this is good shit, but is the song about troy or pete rock, i mean like hes singing in the 1st person it could just be him singing through troys point of view but idk how hed know his life so well

  • it was his brother or something

  • Trouble T-Roy was a member of Heavy D and the boys. He was a friend of CL Smooth's. The song was just introspective of his own life and not about Troy.

  • Ey yo, Lil Wayne!! THIS IS HIP HOP!!

  • ok whatz up with the grl with no shirt on thatz nasty whoever made that video neeed to take that part out

  • one of the best thing about this vid is there isnt any chevys on 22's and for once it good to not see half naked chicks

  • this right here is what you call REAL hip-hop

  • this song has so much meaning

  • I agrre with yall about hip hop being dead but only to a certain extent we can't forget the lyricists that are still trying to keep it alive 2day. A couple examples are Lupe Fiasco, Nas or Common
