in my opinion 2 of the most important reasons why asian kids play well: 1. count how many asian kids are in the world 2. most of asian kids are either forced to play the piano or heavily encouraged at such a young age. it's a poor thing if they play only because they want to please their parents :(

all these asian childs are trained in closed rooms with the obligation from the teacher/tutor/parents a lot of hours a day and most of them feel that they must do this in they life because theis parents or whoever told them its so. These poor kids waste a lot of time in that what most of them dont want to do but just must do because they're being controlled. that is really good for 9. i played like that when i was 10. He's hitting most of the notes, playing them in the right scale, playing the intro, and doesn't at all rush it. He plays much better than enzo for his age, and tells people there are mistakes. enzo didn't even play the intro

We were lucky to be exposed to piano at a very young age. My sister and I play the piano and my brother plays the violin- now a computer engineer and my older sister is an associate scientist . I'm a biosci major @ UCDavis.Wedid not become a musician even if we did practice like it was going to be our life.
